Knowing His Eminence Shaykh Dr Vaniya Abdurraheem (1)

As-salaam alaykum wa rahmatuLLAAHI wa Barakaatuhu

Trust this meets you in the best state of Eeman

As promised that I'll share what I know of good of Shaykh Dr Vaniya Abdurraheem and how his teachings, lessons and guidance helped me in the journey towards understanding the Arabic language

Based on so many events and activities, I've not been able to share with you.

Here are so details I want to share with you:

- The first thing to know about the Shaykh is that he was a revert from Hinduism

- He was a polyglot (7 languages: English, Latin, Arabic, Urdu German, and others I can't remember now)

- Majored in English Language and Literature (University of Madras, India). Holds M.Phil. and Ph.D Degrees in Arabic Philology from the University of Al-Azhar (Cairo)

- Formerly Professor of Arabic Language for 30 years at the International Islaamic University of Madinah

- Has taught Arabic Language at the Islaamic Universities around the world: at Omdurman - Sudan, Germany, Washington D.C - U.S.A, and British Guyana

- Has been teaching Arabic as a foreign language for more than 50 years

- An expert on European Languages and their etymology, phonetic change and semantic development

- Formerly the Direcor of the "Institute of Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language" Islamic University of Madeenah

- He was the past Director of the Translation Centre at the King Fahd Qur’an Printing Complex in Madeenah Al-Munaawarah

- He was a giant in Arabic grammar, mophology, literature and linguistics

These are few of the worth and achievements of our noble Shaykh Dr. V Abdurraheem

Inshaa ALLAAH, we'll look at some of the books that he wrote and likewise show us the pictures and therefore mention how the Shaykh assisted my quest for learning.
