I had the privilege of attending a high-level engagement on the state of Primary Health Care in Lagos. It was a unique opportunity to sit with youth advocates, health experts, and community leaders to deliberate on how we can make Primary Health Care stronger, accessible, and more effective for our people.
During the session, we spoke about why Primary Health Care is important to every family and every community. We reflected on the current realities of PHCs in Lagos, the services they provide, and the gaps that still exist. We also discussed the resilience of health workers, the challenges of infrastructure and trust, and the possibilities that lie in innovation, partnerships, and digital solutions.
For me, this was more than just another gathering. It was a platform to amplify the voices of ordinary people and to stress that Primary Health Care remains the backbone of our health system. If we strengthen PHCs, we will reduce the pressure on our hospitals and give every citizen a fair chance at quality care.
At the close of the engagement, I was certified as a Community Health Influencer and Youth Advocate alongside other passionate leaders. This recognition is a responsibility I take seriously. It is a call to stand in the gap for our communities, to promote health literacy, to advocate for better systems, and to ensure that every person can trust and access the health services they deserve.
I remain committed to this journey. Strengthening Primary Health Care means strengthening the very foundation of our society, and I will continue to use my voice and my platform to make that vision a reality.

I had the privilege of attending the NGA Vaccination Coverage Project alongside my leaders, together with vibrant and outspoken youths representing different centers. I also had the honor of representing the Dynamic Youth Organization of Nigeria (DYON) at this impactful engagement.
The focus was on the critical roles of youth groups in promoting immunization uptake, particularly routine immunization and HPV vaccination for children aged 9 years.
Why Youths Matter:
Nigerians are among the most active on social media, making youths strong digital influencers.
Vaccine trust has dropped, but communities still trust their youths.
Youths are the backbone of society and natural mobilizers for change.
Roles Youths Play in Driving Immunization Uptake:
Advocacy with policymakers.
Peer influence through testimonies and trust-building.
Monitoring and accountability by tracking coverage and gaps.
Awareness through town halls, radio, and digital media.
Community mobilization with PHCs and Ward Health Committees.
Practical engagement includes school and marketplace immunization walks, drama skits, debates, and peer-led Q&A forums. On the digital side, youths are shaping conversations on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, leveraging influencers and content to normalize vaccination.
Collaboration with UNICEF, Save the Children, NPHCDA, CSOs, and community leaders remains vital to rebuild vaccine trust and expand coverage.
Takeaway: Youths are not just supporters, they are leaders in restoring vaccine confidence and improving immunization uptake in Nigeria. Proud to have represented DYON in this movement.

Today, I Voted
As a leader, I believe it is not enough to talk about change, we must live it. This morning, I exercised my civic right by casting my vote. I didn’t just do it for myself, I did it for my community, for Ojokoro, and for the future of Nigeria.
Too many times, we complain about the system but ignore the power of the ballot. I came out to vote because I believe in the process, and I believe that young people like us must lead the movement for credible leadership.
To every young person out there, I say this with love and urgency, come out and vote. Don’t stay silent and expect things to change. Your PVC is your voice, use it.
This is how we take responsibility, this is how we build the Nigeria we all dream of.
