What does impact assessment have to do with successful grant writing?
Quite a lot!

On Sunday, 13th September 2026, Cohort 10 students comprising of business owners, nonprofit founders and for-profit founders joined us for an insightful AMA session on “Impact Assessment: A Vital Qualifier in Grant Writing.”

The session explored the importance of clearly defining the problem, identifying who is affected, measuring outcomes and communicating the impact a project is designed to create.

From understanding your target beneficiaries to presenting measurable outcomes, participants gained practical insights to strengthen their grant applications and communicate their impact more effectively.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and actively participated. Your questions, contributions and willingness to learn made the session engaging and impactful.

UPDATE FROM LAST WEEKEND A.M.A SESSION:

In a recent discussion, Mr. Gideon took the opportunity to delve into the critical topic of funding needs and fit, particularly in relation to the cohort 10 co-learners.

He emphasized the importance of understanding the specific financial requirements that each member of the cohort faces as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. Mr. Gideon articulated how various funding sources can align with the unique goals and aspirations of the co-learners, highlighting the necessity of a tailored approach to securing financial support.

He encouraged the cohort to reflect on their individual projects and consider how different funding avenues such as grants, debt, venture capital, or mezzanine might be suitable for their specific circumstances.

The conversation was enriched by the diverse perspectives of the co-learners, who shared their insights and experiences regarding funding challenges and opportunities.
