Teaching your 3 or 4 year old to read may seem like a major challenge for your parents. Here are fast , simple steps to teach your child how to read.
Contrary to what some people believe, learning to read is not a 'normal' process that occurs on its own. It's a complicated one that involves careful teaching of different skills and techniques, such as phonics (knowing the relationship between letters and sounds) and phonemic knowledge.
1.Using songs and their rhymes in the nursery. Instead of just watching cartoons, it's all a way to keep them interested. Use nursery rhymes and songs to start the process.
2. Use flash cards with sounds, have flash cards in their rooms to keep them engaged.
3. Give them access to word games. There are a few word games available for free download. Get them interested with these games.
Ensure to get them engaged while they are at home.
