LASU ADMISSION PREREQUISITES:
We are here to bring to you the Admission prerequisites for Lagos State University. Students are to note that LASU do not Conduct Post UTME Examination , No Departmental Cut-off Marks will be release Unlike some other versities (there Counterparts).
📌LASU (Lagos State University) does not publish fixed departmental cut-off marks for each course. Instead, LASU uses a screening method to determine who gets admitted.
To Further clarify the above Statement:
LASU Admission Modus Operandi:
1. Your aggregate score is calculated using:
• 50% of your JAMB score
• 50% of your O’Level (WAEC/NECO) grades in your five relevant subjects
2. After screening everyone, LASU ranks all candidates from highest to lowest within each department.
3. Admission is then offered based on available slots and highest aggregates not based on a fixed cut-off.
DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION:
Now diving into LASU Direct Entry:
All DIRECT ENTRY candidates should be informed that the university won't be accepting direct entry applicants from another institution "EXCEPT NCE (into Faculty of Education Programmes)"
NOTE: ONLY LASU DIPLOMA/JUPEB/PRE DEGREE- is acceptable for direct entry.
VITAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LASU SCREENING:
Essential Documents
1. JAMB RESULT SLIP: If unavailable, a JAMB SMS notification of your result is acceptable. Print out the SMS and bring it along.
2. LETTER OF INDIGENE : Ensure the letter from the Oba clearly states you are an "indigene" of Lagos State, not just a "resident."
Dress Code and Appearance
1. Footwear: Wear Crocs, sandals, or formal shoes. Slippers and slides are not allowed.
2. Hair : Male applicants must have low-cut hair.
Cultural Etiquette and Language
1. Greetings: Use proper Yoruba greetings.
2. Respect: Male candidates must prostrate respectfully when addressing officials.
3. Language: Yoruba is preferred; be prepared to answer questions in Yoruba.
