Happy Vals Day everyone! Welcome to SNUGGLERS' PLACE CRÈCHE. Looking through my archives I found this video advertising WATER, and using baby fun graphics which is so exciting! ! Yes we know WATER is important for babies but do we really know some basic things about WATER !!
Please All Mummies (especially new mums) ensure you read this:

1. Why WATER is bad for my baby?

A. It's best not to give your baby water before 3 months. At this newborn stage, breast milk or formula is all a baby needs to stay healthy. You don't want to fill up your baby on water, which may decrease her appetite and leave him / her malnourished.

B.When they have that thirst and they want to drink, the fluid they need to drink more of is their breast milk or formula.” Because babies' kidneys aren't yet mature, giving them too much water causes their bodies to release sodium along with excess water,.

3. How much water should i give my baby?

When your 4-6 month old baby is learning to use a cup, giving him / her a few sips of water a couple of times a day (no more than 2 ounces per 24 hours) is fine and fun. Once baby starts solids, you might want to give him a few sips of expressed milk or water with his solids – some babies need this to prevent constipation.
