Prayer Invites God Into Your Business
Scripture:
James 1:5 — “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…”
Before strategy comes divine direction.
In the Bible, when Peter had fished all night and caught nothing, it was only after Jesus gave him an instruction that his net was filled.
Luke 5:5-6
Prayer does three things in business:
It gives divine ideas
It gives supernatural favor
It prevents costly mistakes
A business owner who prays is not guessing — they are being guided.
Prayer Point:
“Lord, release divine wisdom and direction for my business decisions.”
Proverbs 3:5-6

2. Strategy Positions You for Results
Prayer is powerful, but God expects you to act with wisdom.
Scripture:
Proverbs 24:3 — “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.”
Look at Joseph in Egypt.
God gave him revelation through dreams, but Joseph also applied strategy.
Genesis 41
He created a 7-year economic strategy to store food during abundance.
Because of strategy:
Egypt survived famine
Nations came to Egypt to buy food
The nation became wealthy
This teaches us something powerful:
Prayer reveals the plan.
Strategy executes the plan.

3. Profit is Not Evil — It Is a Result
Some believers feel uncomfortable talking about profit.
But the Bible clearly shows that profit is a result of wisdom and diligence.
Scripture:
Proverbs 14:23 — “In all labor there is profit.”
Look at the Parable of the Talents.
Matthew 25:14-30
The servants who multiplied their money were commended.
The one who produced nothing was rebuked.
God expects growth, increase, and multiplication.
Profit allows you to:
Expand your business
Bless people
Fund God's work
Create generational impact

4. The Kingdom Formula
If you want a powerful business formula, here it is:
Prayer → Strategy → Profit
Prayer brings revelation
Strategy creates structure
Profit produces expansion
This is why the Bible says:
Deuteronomy 8:18
“It is God who gives you power to get wealth.”
God gives the power,
but we must apply the process.

If you want kingdom wealth:
Do not build business with hustle alone.
Build it with:
Prayer for direction
Strategy for ex*****on
Profit for expansion
When God becomes the CEO of your business,
your effort becomes empowered by grace.

CULTIVATING THE LOVE FOR READING IN YOUR CHILD

In our last post, we shared how to instill study habits in your child in 5 practicable ways, and we hope that you have started putting what you learnt into practice.

In this very post, we’ve also put into account, 5 things to do to cultivate the love for reading in your child, and this goes without saying that STUDYING and READING are two different factors in your child’s learning process.

While it has been established that studying is a deeper engagement, and more active approach and critical thinking towards reading materials, while reading itself simply involves understanding written text and enjoying literary work for the most part, it is important to note that reading fosters the zeal for studying in children. Simply put, a child who loves to read would love to study.

In essence, it is important to cultivate the love for reading in your child, so that instilling study habits in them will be effortless. We’ve detailed 5 ways to do that below:

1. LEAD BY EXAMPLE
As a parent or a teacher, you should serve as a role model to your child by demonstrating your own love for reading. Let children see you enjoying books, magazines, or newspapers. Share your reading experiences and discuss interesting stories or topics with them. By showcasing your enthusiasm for reading, you inspire and encourage them to develop a similar passion.

2. CREATE A READING FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
Set up a cozy and inviting reading area at home or in the classroom. Fill it with a variety of age-appropriate books, magazines, and other reading materials. Make regular visits to the library together and allow them to choose books that capture their interest.
