Oh my God !!! This was one of the tough tutoring and mentoring sessions I have had.
Indeed, anybody can pass exams and have good grades when not just tutored but mentored rightly.
I have proofs, and here is one of it .

I take my mentees on this, how they can make A's in their subjects, when they follow the principles shared in the Grade Hack session of our mentorship class.

There's no mystery in passing exams.

Planning the day.

I usually tell my students that their academics is not going to take fun from them or stop them from other activities. So, we have this session in our mentorship class where I teach them how to plan their day.

So, the number of hours they will spend on reading depends on the volume of things they've had to do.... This makes them take ownership of their academic performance.

P.S 😁😆😅, the picture below was how one of my mentees planned his Wednesday....😃😃..This boy right here will know how to adjust this timetable(or plan) by himself if there are more assignments to do. So he planned this timetable this way because he is on holiday and wanted some time on the Laptop and also to watch TV😊...Not many children can take ownership of their life this way.

Education is becoming boring, Students now need motivation.....

From experience, I realised that Students who did well in their academics actually had some form of motivation for that feat.

It could be their ego
It could be because they love their parents and want to make them happy
It could be because they want to be known for success.

The list continues

I remembered having a mentorship session with a student whose mum had complained bitterly about his behaviour, which was why the mum hired me.

There's a session in our mentorship class where we discuss this motivation matter. This session has always yielded positive results.

Presently, one of the motivations for the boy's academic performance is the fact that he want the parent to be happy.

Mentorship changes everything.....

RAISING CHILDREN IS A LOT OF WORK.

I got introduced to a particular client in the month of May and she narrated everything she was not pleased with about her son. The truth is, life is not just about learning maths and English. Though she complained about her son's academics but she also told me other things outside her son's academics that she wasn't pleased with.

Well, to make the story short, we started our mentorship classes and some other maths classes.

What amazes me most about this child now is how he can intentionally plan his daily schedules, which is one of the topics in our mentorship sessions.

I realised that children would really love to make their parents proud of them, even academically, they just don't know HOW

Well, the woman is happy now.
She gave me a nice breakfast this last weekend🙈🙈🙈

I messaged her when I got home to appreciate her more for her kind gestures. Her response was "Mr Femi, we are also grateful "

10 years old Toki will be able to take personal decisions that would improve his academics.

He will know when to READ and when to PLAY😄

He will be able to take ownership of his academic growth through mentorship.

What your child needs might just be a MENTOR and not a new school or a new teacher.
