Mediaskill Acquisition Project

We train youths, adults & young school leavers on television production, cinematography, videography, post production.

We help with industry placement when you train with us. We train, recruit, and provide career guidance in media and mediaskill education Mediaskill Acquisition Project (MAP) is a training platform designed to build capacity of training participants in the field of data science, broadcast engineering, broadcast IT, media, film & television production and internet media. The intensive learning work

shop is fully hands-on, and delivered through brainstorming, discovery, self-learning and practical methods. With the assistance of industry skilled professional instructors, the facilitators will provide guidance, mentorship and role playing services to the learners during the training. Rationale:

Africa, a continent with about one billion people, rich with over 60% of youthful population shows great promise when such youthful energy and strength of wisdom is channeled in the right direction. Instead of resigning to the background as a continent known for fighting senseless wars, catastrophic natural disaster, hunger and poverty; it is the aim of this training programme to raise the employment and employability index of African youths. Nigeria, as an extension of the continent with a growing population estimated above 167 million people has 50% youths, ages between 15 and 24, (National Population Commission). In year 2012, about 11.1 million youth were said to be unemployed. To further deepen unemployment story, a NISER index (Nigeria Institute of Socio Economic Research) of 2013 provides that graduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions constitute 20% of the country’s youth unemployment indices. These unemployed graduates remain unemployed for a period of five years more, after graduation. The different between Nigeria’s unemployment story and the rest of the world is in the term ‘employability’. Unemployability arises from the rot in the educational system and weak curriculum that has failed to address vocational education and psychomotor skills within the educational foundations. It is the aim of the MEDIASKILL ACQUISITION PROJECT to achieve the following broad aims and specific objectives through this workshop
GOAL
• Reduce unemployment exposure among tertiary graduates by 9.4% within the next five years.
• Become the reference youth training/capacity builders in Nigeria, by developing a model that government, agencies and organizations will adopt.
• To outsource skilled services by securing direct job placement, freelance or retainership of our Mediaskill Acquisition Project graduates

Production Management in Digital Media Era

Recently, we have been involved with setting up and managing a client's programme idea. Taking an idea from mere concept to something tangible could take a great deal of energy, synergy and backward integration.

How do you grow a totally new concept to your clime from idea to the marketplace on a niche like satire?

Since it was a TV programme, first we suggested to our client to enter the market using online facilities. That strategy would take away the burden of airtime placement, while giving you opportunity to grow your production capacity and build audiences.

We also had to reach different creative vendors who translated the idea to visually attractive piece. Pursuing timelines, deliverables and creative ingenuity was a factor to consider. We did it and it made the air on record time.

Relationship management was also key, as we would keep our client and also keep our vendors.

You can come into the industry as a production manager even if you don't have the faintest idea of all element of production. You just need one skill and then your network will help you out.
