*Celebrating World Forest Day 2026 at ULWS School*

The ULWS School Science Department recently led a vibrant and impactful celebration for World Forest Day 2026!

Our pupils took to the campus for a vibrant sensitization walk, singing and cheering to remind everyone that our forests are our lifeblood. 🎢

By aligning with this year’s global theme, "Forests and Economies," the event successfully highlighted the dual role of forests as both ecological life-support systems and essential drivers of sustainable livelihoods.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Akeredolu from the Environmental Department of the University of Lagos who shared a powerful talk on this year’s theme: "Forests and Economies."

We learned how healthy forests don't just give us airβ€”they supports the livelihoods of over 1.6 billion people worldwide! πŸ’ΌπŸƒ

To top off the day, our pupils got their hands engaged in a tree-planting exercise, leaving a lasting green legacy on our school premises. 🌳πŸ’ͺ

Let’s keep protecting our ecosystems!
