Tertiary institutions exempted from IPPS

Finally, the war between ASUU and federal government is over as tertiary institutions have been exempted from Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System. What this means is that tertiary institutions authorities will now pay their personnel from their ends instead of through IPPIS.

This new development will bring efficiency in management of our institutions and reduce stress of running to Abuja to upload the names of their new staff members when employed.

This step by federal government has also allowed universities to enjoy autonomy that the law gives them which has been compromised by the IPPIS.
