Your account number is just dial away.

I think of a number, I double it and subtract 8. The remainder is then divided by 2 and the result is three - fourth of 6 times the number if 4 is added. What is the number? ¿?

Let's see the genius

WHEREVER THERE IS A “CURSE”, THERE IS ALWAYS A “CAUSE”.

A man beats and abuses his wife and wonders why his children are rebellious and aggressive.
The same man also wonders why his wife is cold toward him.
A teenager is rebellious and wonders why his parents do not trust him.
A student does not study and wonders why he fails in tests.
An employee is slothful at his work and wonders why his boss does not give him a raise.

It is easy to act when you don’t consider the consequences of your actions.
Most people never connect their actions and the consequences of their actions.
During my secondary school days, a student commits an offence and the entire students in the class cover him up and bear the consequence of his action.
However, as I grew older, I realized that was a foolish thing to do, because if the student considered the consequence of his action and knew he couldn’t own up to it, he wouldn’t have done whatever he did in the first place.

All of our actions and even our inactions have consequences.

‘’I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word and thought, throughout our lifetime.” – Elizabeth Kubler-Ross.

“Choices made, whether good or bad, follow you forever and affect everyone in your path one way or another.” – J.E.B. Spredemann.

Everything you think, say and do has consequences not just for you but for others.
Just like the ripple effect, your actions and inactions affect others because everything is interconnected.
And most times, your actions are irreversible.

When you are ignorant of the consequences of your actions, two things may happen:
In the case of negative consequence, you run the risk of hurting yourself or people around you and also repeating the same mistake.
In the case of positive consequence, you may fail to duplicate the same action that provided you the desired result.

For instance, when driving a car, how far can you go when you don’t understand the consequences of the various controls?
You will end up getting frustrated.
Our lives work the same way, when we fail to understand the consequence of our actions, we end up frustrated.

You may not always foresee all the consequences of your actions and trying to be perfectly sure you are doing the right thing all the time may lead to anxiety and indecisiveness.
However, you can resolve to choose those actions that seem best fit following your honest judgment and in order not to be selfish, choose actions that promote connection, unity and harmony.
Some consequences are predictable while some you don’t anticipate. They all form part of your unending education.

You gain invaluable insights and knowledge when you analyze exactly what happened and why.
These analyses help you make best possible decisions next time.
According to the carpenter’s adage, “measure twice, and cut once”.
Therefore, next time before you act, think properly.

Every decision you make will not be perfect, but at least you tried to objectively take the most appropriate action based on the information available at that time.
When the consequences are not desirable, all you need to do is to retrace your steps, take a different action and keep going. There is no time to think of what should have been.

You need to take control of your life by observing the link between your actions and their corresponding consequences and also take responsibility for every decision you make.
When you fail to take responsibility for your actions, playing the blame game, you end up victimizing yourself, thereby making your situation worse.
This makes you believe that you have no control over your destiny and you end up suffering and smiling.

There is a popular saying that you do not do the same thing, under the same circumstances and expect a different result. The most effective way to change an undesired consequence is to alter your actions, be more proactive and less reactive.
When something goes wrong, the best response should be “How do I fix this?”

There are cases where you are a victim of events and circumstances beyond your control, such as natural disasters, social and political upheavals, selfish or reckless individuals, etc.
However, you need not lose focus, pick yourself up and move on.
It is worst to sit down and hope for the best, for hope is not a strategy.

According to Gottfried de Purucker in his book titled Golden Precepts of Esotericism, “You are the creator of yourself.
What you make yourself to be now; you will be in the future.
What you are now is precisely what you have made yourself in the past”.

Also according to Stephen R. Covey in his book titled The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny”.

Therefore, it all begins with a thought; every action of today has a way of shaping your destiny.

Wherever there is a CURSE, there is always a CAUSE.
