The Fear of Mathematics/Mathophobia is one of the reason for poor performance in mathematics by children. For many Children, mathematics doesn't come easy due to fear, anxiety or tension which in turn affects their performance. This fear can result from their foundation, method that was adopted in teaching maths by the teacher, or the personality of the teacher. Overcoming this fear of Mathematics/Mathophobia can help a child to be logical in their thinking and also boost their confidence not just in mathematics but in every other subjects.
These are tips that parents to help their children to love mathematics:

2. Facing the subject squarely.
3. Encouraging them to practice.
4. Making mathematics fun for them (playing maths games, maths puzzles and apps that helps to learn maths tricks, fun maths investigation).
5. Asking maths thoughtful questions.
6. Applying maths in their daily Life ( by letting calculate and pay for purchases when shopping, by cooking together and getting them to measure portions of the recipes to be used in cooking).
7. Reading books that incorporates mathematics.
8. Encourage peer learning.
9. Enroling them in Abacus programs e.g UCMAS.
