REGAL STAR SCHOOLS recently organized its 2023 CAREER AWARENESS DAY. The event was quite an interesting experience for our children as it provided an opportunity for them to start thinking about their future career paths.

REGAL STAR JETS CLUB MEMBERS DESIGN A MULTI-PURPOSE EXTENSION SOCKET!
1.0 THE PRODUCT:
A MULTIPURPOSE EXTENSION SOCKET has been designed, coupled, and built by the Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) club of Regal Star School.
It is a three-pin universal socket connected in series with a 1.5mm thick cable used for supplying electrical power.
The multi-purpose extension socket is coupled on a rectangular shape board that carries the electrical components such as the socket, patress and cable wire.
2.0 EXPERT SUPERVISION:
The Project was closely supervised by the Club Master of JETS in Regal Star School - Engr Emmanuel Tosin Awoleye.
Engr Awoleye, who is a graduate of Civil Engineering, has "hands-on" experience in construction and electrical activities.
3.0 MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT USED:
Equipment used for the project are plier (for cutting cable), screwdriver (for driving in and out screws), hammer (to drive the nails into the board) and nails (to key the patress to the board).
With the multi-purpose extension box, you can control devices in your home such as fan, light, fridge, air conditioners, washing machines and other powerful home appliances.
4.0 FEATURES/BENEFITS OF THE PRODUCT:
Some of the main features of the product are its low cost, durability, strength and compactness.
This multi-purpose extension box gives the functionality of switching on and off remotely any device plugged into it.
The multi-purpose extension box has a wide range of uses; it can be used at home for homes appliance, in the offices for office equipment like the photocopying machine, computer systems, scanners and so on. It can be used in the industrial settings to power heavy machinery.
5.0 WHY REGAL STAR PRODUCT IS UNIQUE?
The hand-built multi-purpose box by the JETS club of REGAL STAR SCHOOL is significantly stronger and more durable than many extension boxes sold because of the thickness of the cable and the quality of materials used.
6.0 "TAKE AWAY" BY OUR CHILDREN:
Our pupils and students participated fully in the activities as they show keen interest in the project. Hence, they are expected to produce another model by themselves under the supervision of the JETS Club Master (Engr Tosin Awoleye) as this will sharpen their skills and help them practice what was learnt during the project.
We use this opportunity to congratulate all members of Regal Star Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) CLUB!
