*THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN UNHEALTHY COMPETITION AMONG PRIVATE SCHOOL OWNERS.*

The biggest asset a School can have is good parents, nobody can underestimate the importance of parents in the development of Schools however, parents are also one of the greatest agents of disunity among Private School owners.

The role of parents in the growth or downfall of a School is most times underestimated.

Parents are very clever, they have good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of Private School owners and they are exploiting it to their advantage.

If Schools were to be politics, parents can simply be described as the cabal. They have successfully hijacked the administration of Private School. In fact, directly or indirectly, they influence 75% of decisions taken in most schools.

Good number of School owners have abandoned their dreams, vision and mission to pursue the unrealistic satisfaction of ever demanding parents.

Since we agreed in my last episode that the major causes of unhealthy competition among Private School owners is unregulated movement of pupils.

The question now is, who influences students migration and for what reason?

Of course, we know the answer.

Parents understand that most Private School owners are very desperate to know about other schools, so they offer to give them the information free of charge but not without adding pepper, salt and maggi.

A parent in my friend's school once told him that I am pressuring her to bring her children to my school, in fact that I have promised her free uniform, scholarship for one of the children and other incentives.

So, my friend was cajoled to give her child scholarship in order to prevent them from coming to my school.

My friend stopped picking my calls and stopped his students from attending my school VS.

It took wisdom and God's intervention to resolve the issue. My friend felt so bad for falling for the woman's antics and later dismissed her children from his school after
