WHY TORTOISE BACK IS ROUGH 🐢

A long time ago, Tortoise had very smooth shell. E ji ya atụ ilu shining like new pot wey just come from market.
But Tortoise, onye aghụghọ , always liked to use sense to collect extra.

One day, the birds planned a big feast in the sky. Food dey plenty — rice, soup, palm wine. Only problem, birds alone could fly.

Tortoise said:
“Ndị enyi m, biko, give me small feathers. I want to join you.”
The birds pitied him and shared feathers. When Tortoise wore them, he looked like masquerade on New Year.

When they reached the party, the host said, “This food is for all of you.”
Quickly Tortoise shouted, “From today my name is All of You! So this food is for me alone.”

😂 Na so Tortoise begin chop everything. He ate and ate until even his stomach was singing ogene.

The birds vexed. They collected back their feathers and left him in the sky.

Now how will he come down?
Tortoise begged his wife,
“Nwunye m, spread mats and soft things on the ground. When I fall, I will land gently.”

But his wife was angry too. Instead of mats, she spread stones and mortar.

Tortoise jumped… Piaam 💥
His fine smooth shell broke into many pieces.

From that day till today, Tortoise back remained rough and cracked dị ka ite gbajiri agbaji (like a broken pot).
