Every year on 16th May, the world marks International Boys Child’s Day. It’s a day set aside to recognize the unique experiences, challenges, and potential of boys, and to remind us that how we raise them today shapes the kind of men and communities we’ll have tomorrow.

Why This Day Matters
Boys grow up under a lot of unspoken pressure: “be strong,” “don’t cry,” “tough it out.” While resilience is valuable, silence around emotions and struggles doesn’t build strength—it builds isolation. This day creates space to say:
Your feelings are valid. Emotional intelligence is as important as academic success.
Your dreams are worth pursuing. Whether it’s art, science, teaching, or caring for others, masculinity isn’t limited to one path.
You deserve protection and guidance. Every boy deserves safety, quality education, mentorship, and positive role models.

What We Celebrate
At Ebun Heritage Foundation School and in homes everywhere, we celebrate boys for their curiosity, energy, kindness, and creativity.
