Our integrated therapeutic approach enables our pupils to access a personalised, engaging and relevant curriculum that helps them to develop their social and emotional resilience ready for the next chapter of their lives

For some young people with special educational needs a therapeutic residential placement can be the best option in helping them to access the education, support and stability they need to achieve and develop.

In such cases, the young person will live in one of the residential houses at school and return to their home setting on a weekly, fortnightly or termly basis, dependent on availability and suitability.

A school can usually provide help and sometimes use specialists. If your child has special educational needs, they may need extra help:

with schoolwork
reading, writing, number work or understanding information
expressing themselves or understanding what others are saying
making friends or interacting with adults
behaving properly in school
organising themselves

Children with special educational needs

A child has special educational needs if they have a learning problem or disability that make it more difficult for them to learn than most children their age. They may have problems with schoolwork, communication or behaviour.
