Prof. Tony Balletti from Carleton University, Canada spoke on "Cross-border and Digital Entrepreneurship for overcoming Youth Unemployment and Creating Decent Jobs in Africa".
Prof. Gituro Wainaina from the University of Nairobi, Kenya spoke on "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda Relevant to Solving the Lingering Youth Unemployment Crisis in Africa: The Specifics"

Day 2 of the ARUA Center of Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development International Conference 2022 (ARUA-COE-USD ) kicked off with a Plenary Session by Professor Jackson Maalu from the University of Nairobi, Kenya who spoke on "Global Evidence of Family Business that Survive beyond First Generation: What Lessons for Africa?".
He mentioned that most Family Businesses die because decisions are mostly made on sentimental basis of age hierarchy. He added that competencies of family members in building Family Business is an important factor to note when decisions are made for the growth of the Business.

Paper Presentations were made by both onsite and online presenters during the parallel sessions.

Day 1 of the 3rd ARUA Center of Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development International Conference 2022 began beautifully today. Opening remarks were given by the VC of University of Nairobi; Professor Stephen Kiama GITAHI, VC of the University of Lagos; Professor Oluwatoyin OGUNDIPE, FAS, ARUA Secretary General; Professor Ernest Aryeetey, the Conference special guest Lecturer; Dr Rose NGUGI, DVC- University of Nairobi- Research, Innovation & Enterprise; Professor Margaret HUTCHINSON, and her counterpart from University of Lagos, DVC- Academic and Research; Professor Bola Oboh.
The Director ARUA-CoE-USD; Professor Sunday Adebisi ensured all participants a robust experience all through the conference wether they are participating online or onsite. This conference is geared towards sustainable Entrepreneurship as the themes reads "SUSTAINABLE AND WORKABLE SOLUTIONS FOR YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT IN AFRICA".
