Tunde has killed his mother's friend. This is the evil that men do.

Tunde decided to visit me some weeks later.
I didn't know he was no longer my son.

-"Yes, mother. The traffic here is awful.
I mean, I spent four hours on the bus. It's unfair.
Life is unfair."

-"That's enough.
You don't have to complain again.
You should take your rest and accompany me to the shop."

Tunde did. He met my friend in the market.
I didn't know what they discussed, but she was all smiles after they discussed.

Thank you so much, ehn."

He brought gifts from the city.
Please, thank him for me."

-"I will. He's a true son of his father.

You should send my regards to your daughter.", I responded to my friend.

Two days later, Kunle told me he was going out.

He didn't say exactly when he'll be back. I didn't ask too.

Tunde didn't return that day. I didn't see him.

Yesterday, the police came to my house and arrested me since they couldn't find Tunde.

I was made to understand that Tunde had killed my friend for rituals.

I slumped when I heard the news. I couldn't believe my ears.

How was church/the service today?

I resonate with Christian beliefs so much that I want to share these simple thoughts with you.

Don't become desperate in a bid to show "evidence".

The truth is, you don't have to assert.

I mean, you know that you are working.
You are doing all you can.

Yes, people want to see your results but it's not ripe.

So, why are you in a hurry?


Don't allow insecurity to get the best of you.

Even if you do what you know how to do best, if it's not what God wants you to do, it's like running the wrong race earnestly.

It's easy to get distracted and pressurized but 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝗪 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐆𝐎𝐃...

I know that you are torn between staying with God (which may take a while or look like it's longer) and working it out yourself...

But choose well.

I hope that you'll join the lines together.

Once more, don't run the wrong race.

Finally,

When it's too much to bear, ask Him to strengthen your loins.

When you are weak, tell Him to carry you.

When you are no longer sure, remind Him of His promises.

Do not say "yes" when you mean to say "no".

Have you been in a situation where you had to say "no" instead of "yes" or vice versa?

Why?

Sometimes, we may have to compromise our stance.
It's all well and good but some of us always do.

You don't know how to say "No/Yes".

You don't know how to reject an unsuitable offer.


You don't know how to reject immoral advances.

You are always okay with everything people do to you, including your family.

You don't want to offend them. It's alright with you.

Learning to take a firm stance aids your self-esteem.

It helps you place more value on yourself even when/if others don't.

You gain a sense of authority and set boundaries for how people can behave around you.

Finally, you earn people's trust and respect as you learn to be firm.

Whether it be your office, class, community, clique, or house, don't be scared of taking a firm stance.

It's worth it.
