Parenting
It is a process that is all encompassing of physical, emotional, social, financial and intellectual development of nurturing a child from infant to an adult.
Parenting is a n intentional practices of a good parent.
Any individual that cannot be physically and emotionally be intentional in parenting MUST not be a parent
I am a Yoruba woman, there is and adage in Yoruba that says 'Gbogbo obi to bimo ko ni abiyamo.
Not all that gives birth to a child are good parents
Parent, a parent is a mother or father to a child
In the holy books a Parent is whom that has been given the responsibility to nurture a child according to God's commandments
As parents we should be able to discern the best for our children at all times
We are to look beyond and below whatever that are being sold to us as regards our children in any form that they maybe sugar coated

FEEDING THE CHILDREN DURING THE HOLIDAY
The economic situation of the country not withstanding, still,as parents we have the duty of providing food our children.Even in buoyant economy you don't have to break a bank to be able to feed your children.
All it requires is planning and commitment. Planning helps us to give our children the needed nutritious and healthy food they need rather than spending unnecessarily. Don't feed then on junks and unhealthy food
Cook nutritious food.
Teach them how to cook, the grown up among them,thus is the time to teach them various cooking methods on how to get healthy meals
Teach them how to make home meals and let them imbibed the habit of eating homemade foods.
Make Juices at home and let them learn the process and methods
Juices such as
Zobo
Kunnu
Pineapple etc
They are very healthy and economical in place of processed ones
Teach them how to make use of what is available at home to produce healthy meals

Holiday:part 2.
The long Holiday is not for coaching classes or lesson ' ALL WORKS AND NO PLAY MAKES A CHILD A DULL BOY/GIRL.
Rather,this is the period to recharge the brain, relax the nerves and muscles.It is the time to take stock of past academic terms and prepare for the next session.
The stress children go through daily in cosmopolitan state like such as Lagos state to get to and fro from schools are too enormous.
Waking up as early as 5.00am daily in most homes.
Being in grillocks to and fro from school daily
All these has psychological and emotional effects on a child.Therefore,this holiday is meant for them to refresh and recharge.
WHAT SHOULD PARENTS DO?
Engage them in activities that are not academics but entertaining.
Take them to recreational or religious camps
Travel to the rural area
Take them to historical monuments
To film houses
Organise house parties.

Good day family and friends, its been a while but I am back.
Holiday is coming!

Parenting during Holiday.
There are things that we need to put in place at home for the children to enjoy their stay at home.
This is the third term's Holiday and the end of a school session/year. The children have more days to be home,so,we must plan ahead to make it a memorable one for them.
The period is also part ,if not the raining season of the year.
Things to put in place:
Food
All varieties that your pocket can afford. Healthy and nutritional drinks that may be home made eg zobo drink
Kunu
Juices
Educational activities, games,eg
Ayo
Scrabble etc
First aid box
Cardigan
There are also emotional provisions to be made eg
Create time to be at home more during this period
Have quality time with them, talk with them, play,and dance with them.Doing these will allow them to come close to you and be your friend.
Give them moral talks with love,through playing with them. Above all imbibed integrity and
dedication in them by giving each and every one of them house chores to do no matter how small.
Avoid gender bias,share chores equally to all sexes
Let them learn the act of selflessness and love through you by the examples you give through your own personal conduct s

The Supreme God in his mercy has graciously give children for continuity. His graciousness to every human that is able to conceive and birth a child is unquantifiable in the sense that a family is always incomplete without a child.

Raising the child and providing them with protection,care and love in order to ensure their healthy development into responsible adults.

Parenting is not a one way traffic because our families,ideology and beliefs are different.
