I am here today humbled and grateful for the trust put on myself and the other executives in care of our true value as a union. I will love to start with a sincere and profound gratitude to the creator of all creatures, the Almighty by whose mercies and might we are able to gather here today. I will like to give thanks to the H.O.D in the person of Dr. Aderemi for his fatherly support in all ramifications, staff adviser, Lecturer's in the Department, Fellow NAPSS LASUITES and all protocols well and duly observed.

We observe today, a celebration of NAPSS LASU, a desire to equip the union which is a means to development. For I pledge allegience today never to forget the struggle of past officers both of the SRC and SEC, permit me to recognize the presence of all ex- comrades and honourables in the house.

I also recognize the outstanding supports we've been getting from the department management, more precisely our lecturer's, Dr. Abiodun Fatai, Dr. Paul Sewa, Dr. Abdul-Rahman...... The list is endless, we really do appreciate your every efforts and look forward to greater achievements with you sir's.

Today history is made, it's no coincidence that the central union government is ablely represented by our department as this shows that we would in no distannt time mount the corridors of power both at the state, national and international level, showing to the world at large what is embedded in us. May I crave your indulgences at this point that the workload on moving NAPSS LASU to the next phase isn't a work for us alone, but more importantly the whole student populace within the confinement of the Department.

On this note, I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has deemed it fit to make themselves available today as we toll a new phase of the union.

The start of the academic year is always a special time at Lagos State University as the semester promises to be filled with engaging activities, events, and what lies at the heart of the department of political science academics and performance.

It's a great deal of pleasure to welcome back all department, staff and returning students, and particularly welcome new students to the department of political science. You are bringing the University alive this semester.

There's been a lot going on this semester, but at the same time, the campus comes alive in when new students come to campus for freshmen welcome week.

I want to thank everyone for being a part of the NAPSS LASU momentum moving forward. I want to thank you for your contributions and support, and I want to particularly thank our new students who are going to bring new life and new excitement to the department.

We are already a great university, but we will be a greater department because you will be a part of the NAPSS LASU momentum going forward.

Let's keep that momentum going because the future is here.....

Sequel to the ongoing medical screening and semester which is about rounding off, the newly elected executives of the department of political science has issued a call for freshmen in preparation for the next session to be able to cater for the needs of the freshmen where applicable, assisting them where necessary, the need to create cordial relationship and to incorporate them into the existing structure of the department.
In veiw of this, a whatsapp group has been created where we can rub minds and as a matter of fact get feedbacks on what has been done and what to do.
