But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord*.” (NIV)

Here is a profound statement that separates one from the ways and practice of this world. It is coming from a man that knows that only God can help one to build one's house. Joshua is an example of Godly father. He is the light to his wife and children. He says,... *but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord*. It is the primary responsibility of the father and mother to train the child in the way of the Lord.

Parents must come to the understanding that, *...children are a gift from the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a divine reward. The children born when one is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior*.(Psalms 127:3‭-‬4 CEB). The 21 century child learns more by imitation. That little boy loves to act like the father. That little girl loves to display the conduct of the mother. Hence, the home is the first major informal school for every child. The Lord made this testimony concerning Abraham.

*For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord..* (Genesis 18:19a). Abraham gave the world Isaac. Learn how to be a godly father from Abraham. How about Hannah? She gave Samuel, a great prophet to Israel. How about Susanna Wesley who gave the world two great ministers of God. They are: Charles Wesley and John Wesley.Jesus loves our children. Let's teach them the ways of the Lord. Our children also will be great in life in Jesus'name Amen.

The Solution to the world that is in deep darkness is seen in *the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus*. Only a Change agent can understand this. These are the people that are created for God’s glory and they are the carriers of this glorious light. Their presence commands the light and life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus says, *I am the light of the world*. It is not I will be the light. This means that Jesus is the answer to the problem of this world today. There is a demand for the truly saved and sanctified individuals. These people have been trained, tamed, tested and transformed by the Word of God. The light of God's Holy Word must shine in the heart of man. Primarily, you must have the love of God.

📜 *Spirit Meal* 🍽️🥪 : Luke 5:1-11

How do you react when you are faced with the challenges of life? A lot of people will exhibit the feeling of disappointment and frustration. Disappointment means to fail to meet the expectation or hope of (something). This must have been the feeling of Simon on this day. He had toiled all night and had taken nothing. You may have been doing a particular business for years and you had nothing to show for it.

You may have been due for promotion in your workplace and you have not been promoted. You may be believing God for the fruit of the womb and you have not received. What is that great feeling of disappointment that you are nursing presently? Or as a student, you seem to be experiencing failure in your examination. All these are changing today in Jesus'name. Let's learn from Peter that surrendered his ship to Jesus for ministration.

Please, note that the LORD knows about what you are passing through. Jesus did not ask Simon about his business failure at first, remember? But He gives Him the instruction to *launch out into the deep, and let down his nets for a draught*. The simple act of obedience paves the way for the net breaking miracle of Simon Peter. Now is the time. You must have this kind of proactive faith in Jesus that has all the power to turn your life around. He will do it in Jesus'name Amen.

There is a divine order and directive here. Since you are created for God’s glory, the Most High God is directing you to arise from spiritual slumber. Wake up from spiritual depression and lethargy. Be revived in the place of prayer. Be revived in the place of studying the Bible. Be revived in winning souls to the Kingdom. Grow up in faith and let God's light shine in you.

Jesus is the light. *For thy light is come*. The Lord Jesus has come to you. Have you surrender your life totally to Him? Hope you are not still holding back some things. Hope you are not still carnal, worldly and lustful. Hope you are not being negatively influenced by friends or relatives. Here is the truth, *the glory of the LORD is risen upon you*. The more of the Lord Jesus that you have in you, the more of the light of God's glory that will be revealed in your life. Hallelujah 🙌!

The darkness that will ravage the earth will be growing by the day. The print and electronic media are always being flooded with this. The internet is not left out. Now, take hold of this good news, *But the LORD shall arise upon thee*. As long as you live each day to obey His commandments- here is the result : *His glory shall be seen upon thee*. God owns the glory and He will never share it with anyone. It is for the Sons and Daughters of the Kingdom! (The truly Born Again)

Billy Graham say, " *Nothing can take the place of a daily Devotional life with Christ. Your quiet time, your prayer time, the time you spend in the Word, is absolutely essential for a happy Christian life. You cannot possibly be a happy, dynamic and powerful Christian apart from a daily walk with Christ* ". The best occasion that you will ever attend will give you the expected best meal or delicacy. At the end the body will have to throw away the meal. The flesh has no profit.

Jesus says, *I am the bread of life*. This is *the living bread*. That can never be discarded. How have you been taking in this bread? How are you spending time with the word of God? *The godly change that one desires can only come when one acts on the Word of God that is rooted in the heart*. Many have placed the word of God in their head. They are just like the Jews that strove among themselves, saying, "how can this man give us his flesh to eat? "

As a child of, whenever you observe your daily Devotional, please you must always focus on the Spirit of the Word. The Spirit gives life (2Corinthians 3:6). Allow the Holy Spirit to amplify the word of God in your heart. Cut off all forms of distractions. Then dig deep into the Word that will transform and renew your life. When this is done, take time out to take action on what has been revealed to you. *Prompt Obedience to God's Word will lunch you into the realm of Supernatural Turnaround*
