The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has reacted to the recent registration of two new trade unions by the government for academic staff in the university system, saying it does not pose any threat to its existence.

Our nation today is yet to develop but experiencing growth from the figure of GDP,we re yet to get in our political and economic sabotage of our country,Nigeria suffer failed institution characterised by bribery and corruption,insecurity, economic hardship,infrastructural deficit, unemployment and inflation, low respect for rule of law,education backwardness due to 7 months Industrial action by striking university,depreciation of naira. All these re major problem of Nigeria and am very sure this problem will be solved in 2023 if we vote a good leader on office

Economic growth and development is very important to any country as this will pave way for a prosperous nation characterised by low poverty,unemployment and low cost of living with low inflation in the country.Nigeria will be bless again if we vote it right and am very sure we will get it right.

NSUK Pulls Out Of ASUU Strike, Announces Resumption Dates

The Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has announced that it had pulled out of the over seven-month-old strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

This was contained in a statement issued by its Registrar, Bala I. Ahmed, “after successful dialogue”.

The state owned university asked its staff and students to resume on Monday September 26 and Wednesday September 28, 2022 respectively.

Lectures according to the statement made available to n-Mirror will commence on Monday 03, 2022

Parents and guardians were advised “to take note accordingly.”

ASUU STRIKE: GRIDLOCK AS NANS BLOCK LAGOS AIRPORT OVER ASUU STRIKE

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has blocked roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

The mass action is in continuation of their protest against the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Students, who defied the heavy downpour, caused gridlock on the road leading to the airport leaving many travellers stranded.

The Nation observed operatives from the Lagos State Police Command, RRS operatives, Lagos Airport Police Command, and other security agencies are on ground.

The protesting students carried placards chanting Aluta songs to register their displeasure over the actions of the Federal Government.

🗣️ In Summary: The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Speakers Conference Room at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

The Speaker asked Mr Adamu to submit a written presentation of ASUU’s perspective on this matter to the House before the meeting day.
