INTERNATIONAL WORLD GIRLS' DAY - 11TH OCTOBER, 2024
The International Day of the Girl Child is observed annually on 11th October. This is in recognition of the Rights of the Girl Child, and the unique challenges they face around the world.
This year's theme is "Girls' Vision for the Future".
The Programme for the day included TALK Show highlighting the Value of the Girl Child, and Gender Health Awareness, amongst others.
Our Girls were dressed in Pink colour of clothes for the Day.

WORLD SIGHT DAY, 10TH OCTOBER, 2024
In celebration of World Sight Day this year 10th October, 2024, members of Nigeria Optometric Association (NOA) Lagos Chapter Island Zone visited Divine Icons School to sensitize our Pupils on the importance of Eye care in Young people. They told the children what they need to do, eat, and drink in order to maintain a good eye sight.
We as a School, and our Pupils were happy to receive them.

ANTI-BULLY WEEK AT DIVINE ICONS NURSERY & PRIMARY SCHOOL
LAST WEEK WAS OUR ANTI-BULLY WEEK.
CHILDREN WERE TAUGHT EVERYTHING ABOUT BULLY, AND HOW TO STAND THEIR GROUND WHEN THEY ARE BEING BULLIED OR REPORT TO ANY TEACHER, PARENT, OR ELDERLY PERSON AROUND.
ON FRIDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2023, THEY WORE THE OPPOSITE SEX'S COLOUR OF CLOTH TO ENABLE THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BOY'S COLOUR AND VICE VERSA. ANY BODY CAN WEAR ANY COLOUR OF CLOTH WITHOUT BEING BULLIED!
