Tech & Confidence for Women is a community helping women enter, grow, and thrive in technology careers.

Technology changes.

Industries change.

People change too.

The role you're in today may not be the role you're in three years from now.

And that's okay.

Some of the most successful people in tech have reinvented themselves multiple times.

They learned new systems.
Developed new skills.
Explored new interests.
Followed their curiosity.

Growth isn't about staying the same.

It's about staying open.

Practical Step:

Ask yourself: "What am I curious about right now?"

Not what you think you should learn.

What genuinely interests you?

Start there.

Curiosity often leads us exactly where we need to go.

Tell us, what are you curious about in the world of tech?

23/06/2026

I have a question.

When was the last time you felt completely ready for something important?

A new role.
A promotion.
A certification.
A career change.

Most of us don't.

We prepare.
We learn.
We grow.

And then we take the leap anyway.

One thing we've learned from speaking with women in tech is that confidence is often treated like a prerequisite.

It's not.

Confidence is something we build by doing.

Practical Step:

Write down one opportunity you've been talking yourself out of.

Then ask:

"What would I do if I trusted myself just 10% more?"

Start there.

Because growth rarely begins with certainty.

It begins with courage.

22/06/2026

One of the biggest myths about building a career in tech is that you need to know exactly where you're going before you start.

You don't.

Most careers aren't built from a perfect plan.

They're built one step at a time.

One course.
One conversation.
One application.
One project.
One opportunity.

The people who succeed aren't always the ones who know the most.

They're often the ones willing to begin before they feel ready.

At Tech & Confidence for Women, we see this all the time.

Women waiting because they think they need more knowledge, more confidence, or more certainty.

Sometimes the next step comes first.

The confidence follows.

Practical Step:

Choose one thing you've been putting off and spend 15 minutes on it today.

Not tomorrow.
Not next week.

Today.

What's one step you've been meaning to take? Let us know in the comments, we love hearing from you.

19/06/2026

Have you ever felt like you didn't quite belong in tech?

Not because you weren't capable.

Not because you didn't have the skills.

But because you felt different.
Unheard.
Overlooked.
Or like everyone else seemed more confident than you.

At Tech & Confidence for Women, we're hearing these stories again and again.

Women who are talented, intelligent, hardworking, and committed to their careers, yet still find themselves questioning:

• Am I good enough?
• Why do I feel like I have to prove myself?
• Why is this so exhausting?
• Am I the only one who feels this way?

The answer is no.

And that's exactly why this community exists.

Not because women need fixing.

But because women deserve support.

A place to build confidence.
A place to develop resilience.
A place to grow professionally.
A place to ask questions and learn from others.
A place to realise they're not alone.

We're here to listen as much as we are to share.

The more we understand the real experiences of women in cybersecurity, data, AI, information governance, and IT, the better we can support meaningful growth and change.

So we'd love to hear from you.

What's the biggest challenge you're facing in your career right now?

Or what do you wish there was more support for?

Tell us in the comments. We're listening. 💜

You can be brilliant at your job and still find yourself:

Replaying conversations after meetings.
Wondering if you should have spoken up.
Second-guessing decisions you've already made.
Working twice as hard to prove what you already know.

And if you're a woman in tech, you're not alone.
Many women aren't struggling because they lack capability.

They're navigating pressure.

Pressure to perform.
Pressure to get it right.
Pressure to keep going when confidence takes a hit.

And over time, that pressure can affect how you show up, communicate, lead, and trust yourself.

That's exactly why we're hosting: Winning in Tech and Beyond

A free event designed to help women build the skills, confidence, resilience, and mindset needed to thrive in tech and life.

This isn't about motivation for an evening.

It's about giving you practical tools you can actually use when:
→ Self-doubt creeps in
→ Opportunities feel intimidating
→ Stress starts affecting your performance

You can have 20 years of experience

And still feel like you need to prove yourself.

I see this all the time with women in tech.

They've built successful careers.
They're knowledgeable, capable, respected.
Yet before an important meeting they're still thinking:

"I need to get this right."
"What if I miss something?"
"I should know more by now."

Then the meeting ends.

And instead of moving on, they replay what they said, what they didn't say, and what they should have done differently.

From the outside, it looks like a confidence issue.

It isn't.
It's pressure.

The pressure to perform
The pressure to be perfect
The pressure to prove you belong.

And after years of carrying that pressure, your nervous system starts treating every challenge like a threat instead of an opportunity.

That's why more knowledge rarely solves the problem.

The shift happens when you learn how to reduce the pressure you're putting on yourself.

Because when pressure comes down:
→ you think more clearly
→ you trust yourself more
→ you stop second-guessing every decision
→ confidence starts to return naturally

This is exactly what I'll be sharing in:

What good is learning a new skill if it never gets used?

And what happens when we stop learning altogether?

At our upcoming Winning in Tech and Beyond webinar, guest speaker Victor Okoronkwo will be exploring a powerful concept that applies whether you're entering tech, growing your career, or pursuing any personal goal:

✨ Skill Development & Deployment ✨

Victor believes success isn't just about developing skills.

It's about knowing how to apply them.
Because learning without action creates frustration.

And action without continued learning eventually leads to stagnation.

In his session, Victor will explore:
→ The importance of continuous learning, unlearning, and relearning
→ How to identify and close skill gaps
→ Turning knowledge into action and results
→ Balancing growth, ex*****on, and long-term success

Whether you're building technical skills, growing your confidence, or looking to take the next step in your career, this conversation will provide valuable insights you can apply immediately.

As technology continues to evolve, one of the greatest skills we can develop is the ability to keep learning and adapting.

💬 What's one skill you're currently developing that you'd like to put into action more often?

11/06/2026

How often do we speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to a colleague?

"I should know this by now."
"I'm not experienced enough."
"Maybe my idea isn't good enough."

In technology and other fast-moving industries, many women face challenges that aren't always visible on the surface.

→ Imposter syndrome
→ Self-doubt
→ Overthinking
→ The pressure to prove ourselves.

That's why I'm excited that Shel Marie will be joining us as a guest speaker at our upcoming webinar: Winning in Tech and Beyond

Shel's talk:
Words Create Worlds: The Power of Self-Talk, Identity & Innovation will explore how the language we use every day shapes our confidence, decision-making, leadership, creativity, and ultimately the results we create in our lives and careers.

As technology and AI continue to evolve at an incredible pace, Shel reminds us of something powerful:

The most important interface we'll ever work with is the human mind.

If you've ever:
→ Struggled with self-doubt
→ Held back from sharing your ideas
→ Felt like you needed to prove yourself
→ Wanted greater confidence and clarity
→ Wondered how your mindset might be influencing your success

Then Shel's session is one you won't want to miss.

Her work helps people transform self-doubt, burnout, and limiting beliefs into confidence, authentic self-expression, and purposeful action.

Because words don't just describe our lives.
They help shape them.
