Having Trouble Making a Study Plan? Let's Fix That Together!
Have you ever sat down to study and didn't know where to start? Like you're looking at all your books, feeling stuck, and wondering how to fit it all in?
Imagine having clear direction every day: knowing what to study and when. A proper study plan is like having a treasure map-it will point the way toward where gold lies, which in this case is your exam success.
What if we told you that making a study plan isn't as hard as it sounds? Well, all you need is the proper steps, and there we are. In fact, with a decent plan, you will be less stressed, and full of confidence to take the exams.
✅ Actionable tips
1️⃣ Set Your Study Goals: Write down what you want to accomplish-be it two chapters each day or mastery in one week.
2️⃣ Break It Down: Divide your subjects into small, bite-sized tasks. For example, instead of “Study Biology,” try “Revise plant cells.”
3️⃣ Pick the Right Time: Choose a time when your brain feels fresh. Morning, afternoon, or evening—find what works for YOU!
4️⃣ Mix It Up: Don’t study one subject for hours. Switch between subjects to stay engaged and avoid boredom.
5️⃣ Add Breaks: Studying without breaks is like running without stops-you'll get tired! Take 5-10 minutes to rest after every hour.

The 3-Step Framework to Exam Success
At one time or another, we have all been in this scenario-staring at our notes and wandering where to even begin.
Perhaps you have too questioned yourself with this very question, "What's the secret to acing the exams?"
We did the research and spoke to top scorers, and their success has a connection with this 3-step framework:
1️⃣ In-depth Knowledge
2️⃣ Speed
3️⃣ Accuracy
Once mastered, success is no longer just a possibility-it becomes a surety. Let us delve into just how you will achieve that.
1️⃣ In-depth Knowledge
While some do rote memorization, most students scan through their notes. But let me let you in on a secret: comprehension always beats memorization. You will be able to approach questions only when you know what concepts, not words.
2️⃣ Speed
Knowing the answers is one thing; being able to provide them on time is another. That is why high-scoring students do mock tests and timed drills for speed building.
3️⃣ Accuracy
What is the use of speed without precision? Finishing quickly is only useful if your answers are right. Revision and careful practice hold the keys to shunning careless mistakes.
This is, in fact, the exact framework high scorers use to dominate JAMB-and it's at the heart of our JAMB High Score Playbook.
Inside the playbook, we show you step-by-step how to apply this framework to your studies and maximize your score.

Want to Actually Remember What You Study? Let's Dive into Active Recall!
Sometimes, do you get that feeling-whoa, I've been studying for hours-but then when it comes down to remembering any of that stuff, all you can do is barely recall a thing or two? Well, you're definitely not alone, and well, there's this game-changer technique: Active Recall. Let's break it down because it's literally one of the best methods to make sure you don't just read but actually remember what you study!
We always think that re-reading over and over or highlighting information will make it stick. But here is the thing: usually, it doesn't! Passive studying doesn't fire your memory hard enough, so you end up frustrated when you can't recall what you've read.
And who hasn't been there? You step into an exam room or a quiz, feeling like you know it all… only to have your mind go blank. That's not because you didn't try hard; it's just that passive review tricks your brain into "recognizing" info but not "retrieving" it when needed.
Enter Active Recall!
It is all about making active efforts to recall the information that you learn. And it's not that hard; we promise!
Here's How to Use Active Recall to Study Smarter, Not Harder:
1️⃣ Quiz Yourself: At the end of each study session, take away your notes and quiz yourself. Use flashcards, make your own test questions, or cover up parts and try to recall what's missing. It's like doing push-ups with your brain muscle for better memory strength!
2 Teaching Others: Teaching has been proven as the most powerful way to enforce retrieval because it forces you to get the information out and explain it clearly. Explain concepts to a friend, study buddy, or even yourself in front of a mirror. Indeed, this effort at clarification will strengthen your recall.
3️⃣ Use Spaced Repetition Apps: Applications like Anki or Quizlet implement spaced repetition. This is a technique that connects active recall with reminders at regular intervals. It helps you review material just as you are about to forget it, thus keeping it fresh in your memory.
4 Make Concept Maps from Memory: Instead of rereading, try to create from scratch a concept map or diagram. This will force you to recall relationships among ideas and format your understanding visually.
5️⃣ Summarize in Your Own Words: Read a chapter, shut the book, and summarize the main points out loud or on paper. This is active recall at its best, trying to make sense of information in your own way and retain it for good.
Have you tried active recall before? What's your go-to method for studying smarter?
Give active recall a go to juice your memory and get those concepts to stick. More study hacks like this come from ; start transforming how you study today!
