*Uniosun releases 2025/2026 JUPEB PROGRAM ADMISSION FORM*

*WHAT IS JUPEB?*

JUPEB stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board. It is a one-year advanced level program designed for students who want to gain Direct Entry admission into Nigerian universities without writing JAMB.

It’s a great option for students who

1.Didn’t score high enough in JAMB,

2.Missed admission into their preferred course or university

*HOW JUPEB WORKS*

At universities like Osun State University (UNIOSUN), the JUPEB application form is typically released around August or September. The deadline often extends till December or even January, giving applicants enough time to apply.

*NB: If you’re interested in the UNIOSUN JUPEB program, stay tuned I’ll inform you once the form is officially out.*

After applying and paying the required fees (which are similar to 100-level fees), you’ll begin a 9-month intensive academic program. During this time, you’ll be taught advanced-level subjects related to the course you want to study. This is not like JAMB coachingit’s a focused, in-depth study program that prepares you for actual university work.

At the end of the program, you’ll write an external examination set by the JUPEB board. You’ll be examined in three core subjects and your results will be graded in points. These points determine your eligibility for admission into 200 level.

*SCORING & ADMISSION*

Each course has a required minimum point score. For highly competitive courses like Medicine, you may need up to 14 points. For courses like Pharmacology, Nursing, Medical lab science and other science-related programs, 9 points or more is usually enough, depending on how competitive the course is.

*The good news? Your admission depends more on your JUPEB score, not your JAMB result 👌🏽...*

*WHY YOU SHOULD DO JUPEB AT YOUR TARGET UNIVERSITY*

If you’re aiming for admission into UNIOSUN, it’s best to register and complete JUPEB at UNIOSUN. This increases your chances of being admitted there, as universities tend to prioritize students who did their JUPEB program in-house.

Doing JUPEB at a different university (e.g., UNILAG or OAU) and trying to transfer may reduce your chances of admission.

*WHO SHOULD CONSIDER JUPEB?*
✅ If you scored low in JAMB.
✅ If you want to study a competitive course but didn’t meet the cut-off.
✅ If you want to resume directly from 200 level.
✅ If you want to strengthen your academic foundation before university.

*AFTER JUPEB 👉🏽 WHAT’S NEXT?*

Once you pass the JUPEB exams, you’ll apply for Direct Entry (DE) into your chosen university. If admitted, you begin as a 200-level student, skipping 100 level entirely.

Even if you didn’t get into UNIOSUN through JAMB, you can still apply through JUPEB, complete the program and gain admission the following session without rewriting JAMB.

*IS JUPEB DIFFICULT?*

JUPEB is challenging, but very doable. With regular class attendance, good study habits and commitment, you’ll do well. Many students have successfully used JUPEB to enter top programs you can too 🤩👌🏽.

*APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS*

You only need your O’Level result (WAEC, NECO, etc.) to apply. No JAMB needed.

JUPEB is a smart option for students who want a second chance at university admission without the stress of JAMB.

2024/2025 POST-UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING EXERCISE

The public is hereby informed that Imo State University has scheduled her 2024/2025 POST-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise from 15th to 19th of October, 2024.

Candidates who have successfully registered for the screening exercise should visit www.imsuonline.edu.ng/Putme_DE from 1st of October 2024, to print their Examination slip using their Jamb Registration Number.

The slip which bears the Date and Time for your Exam, should be brought to the Examination venue on the scheduled day of your Exam.
