THE SKILL CAN OUTLIVE THE CLASS
A cake class may last for a few days or a couple of weeks.
But what you learn during those weeks can become something you use for years.
That is the part of education that people sometimes overlook.
When you pay for professional training, you are not simply paying for the hours you spend sitting in a classroom. You are paying to understand a process that you can eventually recreate on your own.
You learn how to work with your ingredients.
You understand why a recipe works.
You learn how to handle your tools, achieve better finishes, troubleshoot mistakes and make decisions when things don’t go exactly according to plan.
And that knowledge becomes yours.
The cake you make during training might be your first beautiful result, but it doesn’t have to be your last.
After the class, you can make another one.
That is the real transformation we want for our students.
Not just, “Look at the cake I made in class.”
But, “I know how to do this myself now.”
That is why we don’t want our students to simply attend training.
We want them to understand what they are learning.
Ask questions.
Pay attention to the details.
Practise what you were taught.
Make mistakes.
Correct them.
Try again.
Because nobody should spend money learning a skill only to abandon it when the class ends.
Your certificate may remind you that you attended the training.
But your ability is what stays with you.
The class has an end date.
Your skill doesn’t have to.
