*AN OVERVIEW OF THE NOVEL "LEKKI HEADMASTER*

Lekki Headmaster by Oladejo Okediji is a Yoruba novel that captures the complex socio-political realities of post-colonial Nigeria through the lens of a headmaster in Lekki. Set in a fictional coastal village, the story explores themes of leadership, corruption, social justice and the challenges of education in rural communities.

The headmaster, the protagonist, becomes entangled in the political intrigues and moral dilemmas of his environment as he tries to balance his professional duties with the societal expectations placed upon him.

The novel employs satire, humour and irony to critique the greed and dishonesty prevalent in society, while also highlighting the resilience of ordinary people.
