*RESUMPTION MESSAGE*
OUR WORLD CLASS PARENTS,
Trust you are doing great at your respective endeavors. I crave your kind indulgence to spare me few minutes of your time to go through this message.
This is your popular friend, brother, tutor and son, Olumuyiwa ODUNARE (MR.), your favorite admin, and I know you are eager to hear from me as well. 😄🤣🥲💪🏾🤣
On behalf of the entirety of Baridoo Comprehensive College, I am happy to welcome you to the 2023/2024 Academic Year. We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a significant difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for your children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. The best way to go about this is by talking to your children. Let them understand that school has resumed, and there will be changes, especially in their playtime. Also, get them involved in other extra-curricular activities, this is to help get them engaged rather than waste their time.
Our theme for this year is: Promoting Excellence Through Determination And Hard work. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that your ward:
- Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.
- Completes all homework assignments given by teachers.
- Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.
- Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life.
- Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject.
- Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to university.
- Please do not give your children school fees to any staff, pay directly to the school account and bring the receipt to school.
As a school, we know the economy is challenging and we have reduce our school fees at an amazing percentage for your comfortability.
As a parent, do not focus your spending only on the frivolous wants of your children but also save ahead for the new term. Resumption is expensive, especially for parents who have more than one child in school. Apart from preparing them for school academically, you should also prepare them health-wise. Have them vaccinated, test and treat them for typhoid and malaria.
It will also interest you to know that we have recruited some experienced and outstanding teachers to join our team and there has been amendment of some of our policies. This will be discussed at our PTA Meeting.
As a school, we complement our academic curriculum with our interesting Co-Curricular Activities. These help our children to be well-rounded and well-grounded. Please ensure that your child/ children sign up for a co – curricular activity.
Baridoo Comprehensive College is seriously moving into Digital / Inquiry Based Learning of which Assessment for Learning plays an integral role. This will equip our children with an excellent sense of reasoning and high confidence.
Honestly, significant positive changes will be taking place this academic year and some of these changes will be expatiated at the Parents’ Teachers Meeting.
Please note as well, upon resumption we will be sending to the platform Class Teachers Phone Numbers for easy accessibility.
Please do not hesitate to contact or book an appointment to see the School Principal if you wish to discuss any issues or challenges regarding your child. We encourage you to visit our school’s website (in progress).
I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you.
Best Regards,
Olumuyiwa ODUNARE (Mr.)
