Field Trip Alert!
– Excursion to Magistrate Court
Today our Primary 5 & 6 pupils had an eye-opening visit to the Magistrate Court for our Civics and Social Studies field trip.
Why we went:
We wanted the children to see how law and justice work beyond the textbook. Understanding courts, roles of judges, lawyers, and the importance of rules helps build responsible future citizens.
What we did:
Courtroom Observation – Pupils sat in on a live session and watched how cases are presented calmly and respectfully.
Interactive Talk – The magistrate and court staff explained their roles, the court process, and why honesty and integrity matter in daily life.
Q&A Session – Our students asked thoughtful questions about law, fairness, and careers in the legal field.
What they learned:
The difference between a magistrate court and other courts
Why evidence and facts matter more than arguments
How discipline, punctuality, and respect apply both in court and in school
That law exists to protect everyone and keep society orderly
The pupils returned inspired, curious, and full of stories to share. A big thank you to the Magistrate Court staff for welcoming us and making the law come alive for our young learners.
Learning doesn’t stop in the classroom – it happens everywhere!
