To every student returning today, welcome back.

To all parents, thank you for supporting your children.

SEPTEMBER, WE’RE READY FOR YOU.

August was a beautiful month, filled with lessons, growth, opportunities, connections, and reasons to be grateful.

Now, we step into September.

A new month.
A fresh page.
Another opportunity to do better, learn more, grow intentionally, and make an impact.

I’m grateful for how far we’ve come, and I’m hopeful for what lies ahead.

May September bring us new opportunities, meaningful connections, greater growth, and beautiful results.

May this month be kinder, brighter, and better for us all.

Happy New Month, everyone.

Bienvenue, September.
Let’s make it count.

Your biggest achievement this week might not be what you think.

Most people celebrate the finish line.

I celebrate the first step.

Why?

Because every fluent French speaker once celebrated saying "Bonjour" for the very first time.

Every confident speaker once struggled to pronounce simple words.

Every expert was once a beginner.

The small wins matter.

Celebrate the day you learned your first French word.

Celebrate the day you understood a sentence without translating it.

Celebrate the day you made a mistake—and had the courage to try again.

Those moments may seem small, but they are the building blocks of fluency.

Don't wait until you're "there" before you're proud of yourself.

Celebrate your progress.

It's proof that you're moving forward.

Now, I'd love to hear from you.

What's one small win you're celebrating today?

Let's celebrate it together in the comments.

On avance.

The parents I admire the most are not the ones who know everything.

They're the ones who are willing to learn.

One of the most beautiful things I've witnessed as a French educator is a parent learning French alongside their child.

Imagine this...

Your child struggles to pronounce a French word.

Instead of saying, "You should know this," you smile and say, "Let's learn it together."

In that moment, you're teaching more than French.

You're teaching courage.
You're teaching resilience.
You're teaching that learning has no age limit.

Children don't only learn from what we tell them.
They learn from what they see us do.

When they see you making mistakes, practising, and improving, they understand that growth is a lifelong journey.

And that's a lesson they'll carry long after the French vocabulary is forgotten.

To every parent investing in both your child's future and your own growth, I celebrate you.

You're not just raising a bilingual child.

You're raising a confident learner.

At Learn French with La Joie, I help children and parents who choose to join them build confidence in French through fun and engaging online lessons.

If you've been thinking about introducing your child to French, this could be the perfect time to begin.

Would you learn French with your child? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Bienvenue en juillet!

A new month is here, and with it comes another opportunity to learn, grow, and begin again.

As a French educator, one thing I've learned is that language learning isn't about being perfect, it's about being consistent.

In French, there's a simple phrase:

Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid.

It means, "Little by little, the bird builds its nest."

I love this proverb because it reminds us that meaningful progress doesn't happen overnight. It happens one lesson, one conversation, one small step at a time.

Whether you're learning French, building your career, growing your business, or becoming a better version of yourself, don't underestimate the power of consistent effort.

As we step into July, my prayer is that this month brings you growth, clarity, new opportunities, and the courage to keep showing up, even when progress feels slow.

And if learning French has been on your list for a while, perhaps this is the month to begin.

At Learn French with La Joie, we help beginners and children build confidence in French through engaging and practical online lessons.

Bienvenue en juillet, et bon courage pour ce nouveau mois!
(Welcome to July, and best wishes for this new month!)

Happy New Month

You don't have to be fluent to start. You just have to start.

Many people think learning French is difficult but it all begins with one simple step.

You don’t need to know everything.
You don’t need perfect pronunciation.
You just need to begin.

Every French word you learn today is a step forward.

It can lead to:
✅ Better opportunities
✅ Confidence in communication
✅ Success for your child
✅ A new skill for life

The best time to start was yesterday.
The next best time is NOW.

Tell me in the comments:

French teachers are making waves

On April 1, 2026, the National Association of French Teachers (NAFT) was honoured with an Award of Excellence by Lagos State Government Education District I, Agege.

This award proves that:
✅ French education truly matters
✅ French teachers are making a lasting impact
✅ The dedication we put in every day counts

To every French teacher who’s ever felt unnoticed: your work matters.
Keep going.

To the NAFT family: we earned this together.

Félicitations à tous!

First Impressions in French

In French culture, the way you greet someone reflects your respect, confidence, and cultural awareness.

🔹 Bonjour — Used from morning until late afternoon
🔹 Bonsoir — Used in the evening
🔹 Salut — Informal (friends, classmates, peers)

In France, greeting correctly is not optional it is expected.
A simple “Bonjour” before speaking can completely change how you are perceived.

Why does using the correct greeting matter in formal or professional settings?
