*President's Welcome Message to all members for the new 2021/2022 Academic Session*
Distinguished Colleagues,
Glory be to God for His mercy on us.
Oh God our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast and our eternal home.
With these assuring words I welcome us to yet another *Academic Calendar Year.*
The last *Academic Session* like it's previous one was eventful but we thank the Almighty God for seeing us through.
As *"Water does not get bitter without a cause"* , I want you to know that there is always a reason for any situation you are passing through in this life. In this hard time, with the third Wave of COVID-19 still starring at us in the face, I urge you all to continue to fight against the pandemic by observing all COVID-19 protocols i.e
-- *Use of Face masks*
-- *Social Distancing*
-- *Regular Hand Washing* etc
All these and other guidelines in conformity with the Lagos State Government directives must be strictly adhered to.
Let us continue to encourage our members of staff to be highly productive bearing in mind the peculiar nature of our business. Let us emphasize that it is through hardwork that success can be attained putting in mind that *"One cannot feast and be rich at the same time"*
On Welfare of members, I want to use this forum to inform you that bold steps were taken at the last Extended Executive meeting to take proper care of our members:
*Group Health Insurance:*
After careful study of proposals submitted, Lagos State Health Insurance Scheme and Betta Health Insurance were considered.
*Group Life Insurance:*
In consideration of the track records with presentations of companies, approval was granted to the following Insurance companies :
*1* First Insurance Company
*2* AICCO Insurance Company.
We hope to start the Group Insurance Policies as from October, 2021. Please contact the Welfare Committee and Chapter Chairpersons for details.
As we commence the session, please note the following upcoming events
*September CWC Meeting - 23rd September, 2021*
*Launching of Napps Lagos Online Radio* -
*28th September, 2021*
*October CWC Meeting - 21st October, 2021*
*NAPPS Day 2021 - 12th October, 2021*
*November CWC meeting - 11th November, 2021*
*2021 Banquet - 7th December, 2021*
Let me conclude with the words of Elle Wheeler Wilcox and I quote, *"There is no chance, no destiny, no fate that can circumvent or hinder or control firm resolve of a determined soul"*
