Transcription
Transcription is the written representation of spoken language. It shows us how words are actually pronounced in real speech, not just how they are spelled. This is very important in spoken English because pronunciation often changes depending on how words connect in a sentence.
When we look at the transcription of the sentence “The teacher asked the students to speak clearly,” we begin to notice how natural speech flows differently from written text.
One key feature that appears here is the connection between “teacher” and “asked.”
This happens because of a speech rule called the Linking “R.”
👉 The Linking “R” occurs when a word ends with the letter “r” and the next word begins with a vowel sound. In such cases, the “r” is pronounced to smoothly connect the two words, helping speech flow as one continuous expression.
So instead of sounding separated, the words are linked naturally in pronunciation.
✨ This is what makes spoken English sound fluent, connected, and more natural in real communication.

Your Mindset - a powerful tool
Mindset is the lens through which we view the world. It shapes how we perceive situations, solve problems and interact with each other. It is the software that runs our thinking and decision-making. Our mindset can be a great asset or a liability.
The two predominant mindsets – are fixed and growth.
In a fixed mindset, people believe their qualities are fixed traits and therefore cannot change. These people document their intelligence and talents rather than working to develop and improve them.
In a growth mindset, people have an underlying belief that their learning and intelligence can grow with time and experience. When people believe they can get smarter, they realize that their effort affects their success, so they put in extra time, leading to higher achievement.
People with a fixed mindset often find excuses for why things can't be done. In contrast, those with a growth mindset focus on finding ways to thrive, turning obstacles into opportunities for growth and success
Growth mindset.
Having a growth mindset can be powerful as it enables us to reframe (see from a different perspective ) challenges, see potential, and rebound when we are set back. It enables collaboration and expansiveness.

🎤 SPEAK RIGHT WITH ABBY – TODAY’S THRILLING SPOKEN ENGLISH LESSON 🔥
⚠️ Warning: This lesson may permanently upgrade your spoken English.
🧠 TOPIC: Why You Sound “Wrong” Even When Your Grammar Is Correct
Yes. You heard that right.
Your grammar may be innocent… but your speech pattern is guilty. 😏
🚨 SHOCKING TRUTH:
Most English speakers don’t struggle because of vocabulary.
They struggle because they read English but don’t SPEAK English.
English is not spoken letter-by-letter.
English is spoken sound-by-sound.
🎯 LET’S PROVE IT (READ ALOUD):
👉 “What do you want to eat?”
❌ Wrong (robotic):
What – do – you – want – to – eat?
✅ Right (natural & confident):
Whadya wanna eat?
😳 Yes! Native speakers compress sounds.
Fluency lives in connected speech, not perfect spelling.
🔥 ANOTHER MIND-BENDER:
👉 “Did you eat?”
❌ Classroom English:
Did you eat?
✅ Real Spoken English:
Jeet?
That tiny sound change is the difference between
“You speak English” and
“You sound like English speaks YOU.”
🗣️ POWER DRILL (SAY THIS 3 TIMES FAST):
👉 “I should have told you.”
❌ Wrong:
I should have told you
✅ Correct Spoken Form:
I shoulda told ya
💥 GOLDEN RULE FROM ABBY:
If you speak English the way you write it,
you will always sound local, stiff, and unsure.
But when you speak sounds, rhythm, and flow —
confidence enters your voice automatically.
🎯 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Record yourself saying:
👉 “What are you doing?”
Then upgrade it to:
👉 “Whatcha doin’?”
Practice in secret — but DO NOT SKIP IT. 😉
✨ FINAL WORD:
English is not a subject.
English is a skill.
And skills are trained, not crammed.
Until tomorrow…
Speak Right. Speak Bold. Speak Like You Mean It. 🎤🔥
