*Motivational Monday*
Here’s your gentle reminder:
Not every writing day will be magical.
But every writing day counts.
Some days, the words will pour out like a waterfall.
Other days, it’ll feel like squeezing toothpaste from an empty tube.
Both days are valid.
Both days are progress.
Both days are part of the process.
Don’t be discouraged by the struggle, it’s proof that you care about the craft.
📌 Tip of the day:
Instead of chasing perfection, chase consistency.
Write a sentence.
Write a title.
Even write “I don’t know what to write.”
That’s still writing.
EWC 2025 is for writers like you — passionate, real, and still figuring it out.
Keep going. One line at a time.

*Impact Writing*
*Writers Who Shaped Our Voices*
I was 14 when I first read We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
It changed something in me.
Not because I hadn’t heard the word feminist before, I had. But this time, it was someone who sounded like me. From here. Saying things I’d felt but never knew how to put into words. That book made me feel seen. It also made me want to help others feel that way through writing.
That’s what impact writing does.
It helps you see. It helps you speak. It helps you show up.
Some stories are light.
Some cut deep.
Some open doors.
Some build bridges.
But the ones that stick? They move people. And they move us, too.
So this is me saying thank you, to the writers whose words gave me direction.
And also to the ones writing now: your voice matters more than you think.

Dear writer,
"Every great writer was once a beginner who dared to write badly, kept going anyway, and turned blank pages into magic." ✨
*To every new writer out there, don’t wait for perfect words. Just write. Messy, honest, bold. The magic is in starting, and the growth is in continuing.*✍️💫

💭 Writer’s Nugget –
"Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on."
— Louis L’Amour
Many writers wait for inspiration to hit.
But the truth is, inspiration often comes after you start.
You don’t need a perfect idea.
You don’t need the “right moment.”
You just need to begin.
Open the page.
Type the first sentence.
Let your mind warm up.
Because sometimes, writing isn’t about waiting— it’s about showing up.
*Turn the faucet on. Let the words flow.*.

What do you know about the SDGs?
In 2015, 193 countries came together to adopt the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 17 global goals designed to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.
These goals cover the most pressing issues facing our world today:
1. No Poverty
2. Zero Hunger
3. Good Health and Well-being
4. Quality Education
5. Gender Equality
6. Clean Water and Sanitation
7. Affordable and Clean Energy
8. Decent Work and Economic Growth
9. Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
10. Reduced Inequalities
11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
12. Responsible Consumption and Production
13. Climate Action
14. Life Below Water
15. Life on Land
16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
17. Partnerships for the Goals
The SDGs aren’t just for world leaders or governments, they’re for all of us.
At the Undergraduate Essayists Group, we believe writers and storytellers have the power to shape narratives that push these goals forward.
Let’s write with purpose.
Let’s learn, advocate, and inspire change, one word at a time.

Today, we have come to encourage every writer out there.
To everyone pouring their soul into sentences,
To every writer crafting stories in silence,
To you researching and scribbling thoughts late into the night,
We have come to encourage you!
KEEP GOINGGGG
Write even if no one claps,
Write even if your inbox stays quiet,
Write even if your words don’t trend,
Write even when you are yet to get published,
Write even when the paycheck isn’t coming through.
WRITE! WRITE!! WRITE!!!
Because writing is more than recognition, it's revelation.
Therefore keep writing!
You write to breathe clearer.
You write to understand the world, and yourself.
You write because something inside you needs to be said.
Not all seeds sprout overnight. Some take time.
But trust this: Every word you write is sharpening your voice, building your resilience, and shaping your legacy.
The reward? Clarity. Courage. Connection.
And someday, impact and recognition.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow—but your words will find those they’re meant for.
When that day comes, we would find out you have always been writing,
We would learn from your resilience and consistency.
So keep writing,
Write for the love. Write for the healing. Write because you were born to.
The world needs your voice. Keep writing. Always.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were never meant to be abstract targets—they are human stories at their core.
For decades, writers have been the ones turning data into narratives, and narratives into movements.
Even across genres and generations, writing has inspired awareness, shifted mindsets, and mobilized action.
Today, we will look at some famous writers who have incorporated the power of SDG into their writing.
*Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie*
Her book, "We Should All Be Feminists”, gave global visibility to the realities of gender inequality (SDG 5).
*Malala Yousafzai*
Her memoir became a universal call to protect girls’ right to education (SDG 4).
*Wangari Maathai*
Her writing helped spotlight climate resilience, biodiversity and environmental advocacy (SDG 13 & 15).
Many investigative journalists continue to expose systemic injustice, contributing to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
All these are the transformative power of storytelling!
As writers, don’t just document progress, challenge the status quo.
Give voice to the unheard, help build the world we all deserve.
In a world full of noise, writing remains one of the clearest calls to action.
Action takehome: Always incorporate the power of SDGs into your writing, regardless of your genre.
