SHUT OUT

Text- Matthew 25 v 1-11

Once a fox was roaming around in a forest looking for food. Suddenly, he saw a pig rubbing his tusks against the trunk of a tree.

The fox looked about carefully but couldn't see any danger for the pig anywhere. Despite being so clever, he could not understand why, the pig was doing that.

He couldn't control himself, went to the pig and asked, "The hunters are not out today, nor can I see any other danger, then why are you doing that?"

The pig replied, "Dear! We live in a forest where enemies are there at every step. Who knows when I'll have to face them and use my tusks against them? So, if I don't do it now, I may not get time to sharpen my tusks when I need them the most."

Our text today is on the parable of the ten virgins of which five were foolish and five were wise. This particular story of the pig and the Fox can be so applied to this particular story.

The Ten virgins were on a journey to meet the bridegroom at a banquet, that was their big mark. Our big mark or goal as Christians is to meet with our Lord Jesus Christ after the rapture. Just like every journey we embark on in life that demands a certain level of preparation, so must we in our dail walk to meet Jesus.

We must prepare well while bearing in mind the purpose of the journey that it might take a long time before we arrive at our destination but we must never lose sight of the big picture like the five foolish virgins that forgot to prepare adequately.

The five foolish virgins we're not ready at all and the door was shut against them. The wise virgins took oil to light their path because the knew the journey might be long and difficult but the others did not factor it in.

Amazingly, they were all faced with the same challenges like fatigue and they slept off. Life has a way of throwing spanners into our works but we must learn to wake up without hangovers adequately prepared to face whatever challenge we are meet.

So the moment they woke up the five wise virgins didn't feel any negative impact because they had oil to go but the five foolish virgins were stock in darkness and began to beg the wise virgins to share.

How do we survive moments of darkness, it is by having oil.
That oil is actually the holy Spirit living inside of us that helps us to live, to know and to do the will of God in a sinful world. The only way to keep the oil without running out is by having constant devotion like praying studying the word of God and worshipping. The Holy Spirit is our fuel on the journey towards a victorious life.

WHO CAN ENTER? Matt 7 v 21-23

The shocking thing is that once the door is shut it can never be opened as stated in Matthew 7:21-23. The master said it is not all that call me "Lord Lord" that shall enter in.
"Only those that do the will of the father can enter in."

Those that came late after the door was shut had no second chance. Distractions, sin, laziness and many more are some of the reasons why don't we don't focus on the mark which is to meet Jesus. Remember the pig kept on rubbing his tusk against to the tree in sharpen it in order to ward off his enemies when they come.

If we don't want to be left behind, we must learn to discipline ourselves in training like that pig and athletes do. We must discipline ourselves and flesh in prayer and the study of the word, exercising our faith. These are trainings that we offer our spirit man to live above sin and to be alive and active for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives.

MEMORY VERSE
1st Corinthians 9:25 - 27

This scripture is our guide in ensuring that we keep our bodies in control until we attain the prize and our goal like the Boys Scout motto says "be ready." We are soldiers and must discipline ourselves in training like athletes in order not to be shut out of the banquet.

Hello children, another awesome Monday to bless the Lord for being faithful. We do that through prayers. You know Prayer is an act of communicating with God.

The lord also loves to hear your voice all the time. The problem is that often times we really do not know what and who to pray about.
Here is the five finger prayer guide to help you tell God about everything you need.
Wish you a wonderful praying time today. Have fun.
Amios

What a wonderful time with Doctor Dee. His words today on how to attend to my tongue reminds me so much about what the Bible said about taming our tongue. The Bible is coloured with so much about controlling our tongue. That is the way we brush our tongue spiritually.

Proverb 12 v 18 says words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

As Children of God, our tongues have a lot of power.

Proverbs 18:21 confirms this by saying, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."

This is further seen in Matthew 18:18, which proclaims, "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Dear lord teach me to brush my tongue spiritually and physically daily by keeping hurting words away from myself and others so I can live long on earth. I choose life over death with my words in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you

HOW TO BRUSH YOUR TONGUE

Since the tongue has such a rough surface, bacteria can easily hide within the nooks and crannies of your tongue. When you remove this bacteria by brushing or otherwise cleaning the tongue, you prevent bacteria from spreading back to your teeth.

Cleaning the tongue also helps to prevent problems with bad breath.
Brush regularly, morning and night.

After brushing the teeth, a toothbrush can then be used to gently brush the tongue. Since a thin layer of mucus often keeps food particles and bacteria trapped on the tongue.
When you brush the tongue, use a little bit of toothpaste on the toothbrush and carefully brush the top of your tongue.

Begin by brushing at the back of your tongue and then work the toothbrush forward.

The entire top of the tongue should be brushed gently, and once you’re done, you need to rinse with water.

CARE FOR YOUR TONGUE

It is important to work on establishing good oral hygiene habits while you are young, including regular brushing and flossing.

Since it’s often a struggle to get kids to take care of these tasks, you may not have thought beyond your teeth to the tongue. Brushing is definitely important for preventing tooth decay and gum disease, but it’s not enough to get rid of most of the harmful bacteria found in your mouth. You need to think beyond the teeth and gums to your child’s tongue.

Do you know why is it so important to brush your your tongue regularly?

The tongue is actually the part of the mouth that harbors most of the bacteria. Bacteria from your mouth and from the foods and drinks you take in can live and breed on the tongue’s rough surface. When you brush your teeth, it does eliminate the bacteria that adheres to dental enamel. However, all the bacteria left on the tongue can just transfer to the teeth once again in just a few hours.

Hello, I am just standing at the bank the River Nile. Did you know it is the longest river in the world. It is was also the river that Moses struck and it turned into blood. We will talk more about that later.

Egypt is a country located in the Northeastern corner of Africa. Egypt, a land ruled by Pharohs is home to most of the principal civilizations in the world like writing, irrigation etc. The construction of the Egyptian Pyramids remain a wonder to the world till date. They believe so much in the afterlife so the dead is preserved through the mummification process.

Egypt is one of the most commonly mentioned locations in the Bible, and its people, the Egyptians played very important roles in the story of the Israelites.

The Book of Genesis and Book of Exodus describe a period of Hebrew slavery in Egypt, from their settlement in the Land of Goshen until their escape and the journey through the wilderness to Sinai.

In the Bible, a number of Jews took refuge in Egypt. Infact Egypt doubled as a land of refuge and a land of bo***ge to Israelites in the Bible.
