Geotech4All at NAEGE 2026 | Connecting Technology, Skills and Geoscience

The 11th Annual International Conference of the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and The Environment (NAEGE) provided an excellent platform for Geotech4All to engage with students, professionals, researchers, and industry stakeholders across the geoscience community.

Throughout the conference, we had the opportunity to:

• Showcase our geoscience solutions and introduce participants to platforms including GeoSection, SoilLab, and GraviMagCloud.
• Demonstrate how these tools can support practical geoscience workflows, learning, research, and data interpretation.
• Contribute to training sponsorship initiatives aimed at creating greater access to practical geoscience skills.
• Engage with participants, gather feedback, and explore opportunities for collaboration and wider adoption of geoscience technology.

We sincerely appreciate NAEGE, the organizers, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, students, professionals, and everyone who visited and engaged with the Geotech4All stand.

As we look beyond the conference, Geotech4All remains open to collaborating with university Geoscience departments to support the implementation of these tools within teaching, research, and practical geoscience workflows.

Today, we are officially introducing SoilLab to the geotechnical community.

From borehole, SPT and CPT logging to foundation and pile analysis, and a growing *laboratory suite covering Atterberg, PSD, Compaction, CBR, Consolidation, Direct Shear, Triaxial and Permeability — SoilLab is built to bring the geotechnical workflow into one workspace.

This is the beginning of something we have been working on for a while.

New week, another GeoSection feature to explore.

This week, we're highlighting **GeoLog** — our simple workspace for creating and managing professional boreholes and stratigraphic logs.

But GeoLog is more than just a feature.

It is part of the foundation for something much bigger we are building for the engineering geology and geotechnical community

A complete geotechnical workflow workspace is coming soon — from data processing and laboratory analysis to visualization and reporting.

We just rolled out a major update to *GeoSection — and we're making subsurface logging even better.

With this update, we've added two new features:

1. USGS / FGDC Symbology & Patterns
You can now use standard USGS/FGDC lithology patterns and symbols instead of plain colour fills, making your logs cleaner, more familiar, and more professional.

2. GeoLog
GeoLog now supports both **geotechnical borehole logs and stratigraphic well logs**, with depth intervals, lithology descriptions, and easy Excel import and export

We’re continuously improving GeoSection to make geoscientific data visualization and logging simpler and more accessible for the community.
