AERMP 2024 MID YEAR CONFERENCE, INAUGURATION AND INDUCTION
The Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP) held its mid-year conference, induction ceremony, and the historic inauguration of the Global Emeritus Risk and Compliance Professionals on July 27, 2024, at the Bankers House, Chartered Institute of Bankers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was a testament to the vitality and importance of enterprise risk management in today's dynamic financial landscape. Here are some of the highlights:
1. Conference:
Our theme, "Enterprise Risk Management Framework: Implementation and Global Best Practices in the Capital & Money Market," sparked engaging discussions and insightful presentations. The sub-topic, "Cybersecurity Risk Management: An Indispensable Element of ERM Framework," proved particularly relevant in our increasingly digital world.
2. Induction Ceremony:
We were honoured to welcome a new cohort of risk management professionals into our ranks. From Certified Risk Technicians to Fellows, each inductee's commitment to excellence in risk management was celebrated.
3. Inauguration of Global Emeritus Risk and Compliance Professionals:
The launch of this initiative marks a significant step in leveraging the wealth of experience within our community. Our chairman, Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim mni, delivered an inspiring inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of mentorship and knowledge transfer in our field.
4. Distinguished Guests:
We were privileged to have six distinguished guests join us, five of whom were awarded fellowship and Enterprise Risk Management Ambassadors, while one who is already a fellow, was equally honored as an ERM Ambassador.
