Did you know most couples skip this #6 and regret it later?
……….
1. Communication style & conflict resolution – Do you both talk through conflict calmly, or do you both bùrn down the place?
Do you fight fair (no name‑calling, listening, resolving, apologizing) or do you say things you regret when you are back to your senses?
2. Core values – Do they share same views (Religion, family planning, money, career goals) or at least respectful of differences?
What exactly are their core values?
3. Financial health – Debt, savings, spending habits (does he borrow money to do “Doreme”, does she borrow money to buy Peruvian bone straight hair?).
How will you manage money together (joint or separate accounts, joint or separate investments?).
4. Family dynamics – How does your spouse relate with their family and how do you both feel about your in‑laws?
5. Trust & honesty – Are you both comfortable sharing/talking about your past, friendships and online life?
Can your spouse have your password both to your phones, accounts?
6. GENOTYPE – Do you know your genotype first before that of your spouse?
If both of you are AS, please DO NOT ADVANCE, except your doctor has advised you properly and you decide to go ahead (THEN IT IS ON YOU). But NO PUT HEAD!!!
7. Future plans – Where do you see yourselves living (city, abroad, home country)? Are we owning a house, and where? When it comes to traveling, where do we visut together?
Let your spouse know about this, discuss the reasons and make sure you both are on the same page.
8. Intimacy & affection – Do you know your spouse’s love language? Have you had conversations around sęx and its frequency? Are you emotional close to each other?
This aspect is often ignored, but the truth is this; GOD WILL NOT COME DOWN AND HAVE THIS CONVERSATION FOR YOU!.
One of the early quesions I asked my wife back then she when she no too send me was this: WHAT IS YOUR LOVE LANGUAGE?
It took years before I got an answer sha, BUT I ASKED🤷🏾
9. Support system – Who are their Friends, mentors, and family who will have your back when things get rough?
10. Commitment readiness – Both 100% sure about marriage as a partnership, not just comfort or pressure?
Are both of you ready to put in your 100%?
