PROJECT AND ASSESSMENT

At the end of the Course ( 1K5 & 6 Week Smart Skill exclusive), Students will be required to submit a Final Assessment. For the more detailed Courses, students will be required to submit a Final Project


The Skills, Knowledge and Critical Perspectives acquired during the Course will support and Inform the design and Modification of your Creative Concept. Two weeks ago, Lady celebrated her birthday with a two-part event centred on something truly powerful: Prayer and Empowerment.

Before the event, her Foundation reached out to us at ABSL Fashion Institute with the intention to empower 10 deserving fashion students with a sewing machine each, as part of a larger initiative impacting 300 fashion students across different fashion schools and fashion houses.

And honestly, that is remarkable.

What touched me even more was realizing that this initiative goes beyond simply giving out sewing machines.
These beneficiaries will also receive training, mentorship, and guidance on how to start, build, and scale their fashion businesses successfully.

That means this is not just a gift; it is an investment into people, into dreams, into futures, and ultimately into society itself.

This is the kind of empowerment that creates a ripple effect. When one person is equipped with knowledge, skills, and the right tools, they do not only transform their own life, they become capable of changing the lives of others around them.

Empowered people build businesses, create jobs, support families, inspire communities, and raise the next generation differently.

Acts like this remind us that true impact is not always about what we accumulate for ourselves, but about how many people we can lift while we journey through life.

Here's a mini project submitted by one of ABSL Fashion Institute ONLINE Students 👇

Before you are awarded Certificate of Completion, you MUST Submit a Mini Project. This Project becomes part of your Fashion

Let me tell you a bit about Sayo....😊

See, ehn, even if you go to Harvard, ehn, and you don't Implement what you have learnt, you will never get the expected result

Implementation might be the toughest stage in Strategic Planning or Management, but it is essential if you are about great results

Sayo enrolled late for the batch. She mentioned that she missed a previous offer and she does not want to miss this one.
We had already rounded up on Module 2, but since the classes are precorded, she promised she was going to catch up.

She got enrolled and was very active in class. She submitted almost all her Course work in class. Even though she joined the class more than halfway home, she was so dedicated, Committed, focused and Passionate.

So at the start of Module 3, Assessment details was shared and everyone was advised to start thinking about their

A few weeks after their course ended, Sayo submitted her project theme and design for assessment (see the last screenshot)

From her Batch, ( the one she joined late), she was the 3rd Person to have submitted her Project out of about 40 students.

Some have taken excuse because they are busy, etc.

The truth is, you can never tell when your training will come in handy.

I always tell them the Mini Project becomes part of their Fashion Portfolios.

For example, they can present it at job interviews or when they are seeking internship placement

STUDENT'S PROJECT...

Apart from the main Aim of our 3-Month Fashion Internship Programme which is to gain on what path in the Fashion Value and Supply Chain Aspiring and Emerging Designers want to play in the Fashion Industry; as well as Understanding the Business Of Fashion. Another reason is to combat unemployment rate in the country.

The Programme prepares you to become Employable

There are thousands of unemployed graduates out there. Some of them are unemployed because they are lazy and full of Excuses. They only want money, they don't want to do the job.

My post is for those who do not give Excuses
The ones that would love to make their money instead of begging

That is why at ABSL Fashion Institute, we have created different well structured courses to fit different needs and budgets

About 2 years + ago, Ozioma's Mum contacted us.

Her daughter had just finished her SSCE and she would love for her to learn a skill. So she asked her and Ozioma chose Dressmaking.

This is over one year after.

Ozioma took our 6 Months Apprenticeship Programme and did 6 Months Internship Programme after.

At the end of our Courses ( apart from the 4K and 85K crash courses), students are required to submit their project.
