*Spelling for a learner during examination*
Hello fellow educators. It's been a while 😁. Trust you all are having an amazing time with your students?
Awesome colleagues, it is absolutely okay to assist a learner with spellings while in examination hall if the
main objective of the examination is not to test their knowledge of English language. This will also help the child to master the right spelling of the word.
Assuming you're assessing a student's knowledge of classification of animals in science subject, and the student knows "hippopotamus ", which is part of the questions, then the student asked you to help spell 'hipopothamus' , assisting the student is absolutely the right thing to do, as long as it is the student that mentioned the word.
Remember that you're not assessing her language skills in this particular exam, but if the exam is to assess a student's language skills and mastery, then it is wrong to spell for him/ her.
This is just the right way to way to go.

LETTER NAMES vrs LETTER SOUNDS
Most times teachers and parents are often confused on which one should be taught first to preschoolers;letter names or letter sounds?
As known, the language we speak ,are a combination of sounds that constitute it. Therefore, it is of great importance if preschoolers are introduced to Letter sounds first, before the letter names. The following are some of my submissions on the topic.
By introducing letter sounds first, preschoolers can focus on the sounds that letters make, rather than just memorizing their names. This can lead to better decoding skills, which are crucial for reading success.
Preschoolers who learn letter sounds first tend to have an easier time sounding out words and reading fluently. This can increase their confidence and reduce frustration when learning to read.
Learning letter sounds first can also help with spelling, since it gives preschoolers a strong foundation in understanding the relationships between letters and sounds.
Thanks for reading.

*Learning The Natural Way*
Learning doesn’t only happen in a classroom or at a desk.
Every activity that a child does, especially when they choose it themselves, is a natural learning experience. This includes when they’re mixing things in the kitchen, engaging in pretend play with friends, drawing chalk pictures on the wall, playing sports, or even just resting and practicing self-care…. Learning is happening!
However, when you try to influence what your child learns by insisting on activity completion or setting a time limit, you’re not only taking the joy out of what could be a good learning experience, you’re interrupting what would otherwise be a precious opportunity to make their own choices about how to utilize their time.

A whole lot of growth is lost while as parents and teachers we focus more on the cognitive development of a child, while the other aspects of growth and development are ignored.
Focus also on the social and emotional development and just help them be excited about learning and watch how balance an adult that child turned out to be.
A balanced adult needs all that and more to excel in today's world.
