EXERCISING THE BELIEVER’S AUTHORITY
Jesus expresses another important fact.
Mark 11:23 ...and doubt not in his heart...
He speaks of doubt.
Matthew 21:21 ... if you have faith and doubt not... How is doubt noticed?
Doubt in the heart is expressed in words.
Only God knows what is in a man’s heart.
1st Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Therefore since man cannot know what is in another’s heart, demons also cannot know what is in another man’s heart.
Fear, doubt and unbelief are expressed via words. Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, ... Jesus here spoke against worrying.
So how do you take thought? By saying.
Therefore, doubt and worry can come to you as thoughts.
Circumstances will present themselves that would communicate fear and worry but these would only have an impact when you say it
That is, fear, worry and doubt come as thoughts, as a temptation, but would die unborn until you say it.
Why? Because what you refuse to say has no authority over your life.
Matthew 10:19But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
So the thoughts will come, words would be given to you.
But when doubt and worry come as thoughts, we must not speak emotionally, rather we should take words that are programmed.
Doubt, worry, fear are expressed in words.
Luke 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
How did Jesus know Martha was worried? He knew because she expressed it in words
Vs 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
Luke 12:11 ...take no thought...
Philippians 4:6 be anxious for nothing...
The word “Nothing” was translated from the Greek word, “medeis.” It means none, not at all, do not say it.
That is, there would be a care, a worry but do not act upon it, do not give it words. Let it not be in your words, rather what should be in your words should be prayer, supplication with thanksgiving.
Acting upon worry is in words.
However the truth is, if you let it tarry long enough, you would say it.
Every thought came to you by words, words said to you, you cannot control the words that are spoken to you, but you can control what comes out of you.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Vs 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Vs 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Vs 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
It is not fear or fearful until you have said it,.
Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
The word, “Fearful” describes excessive dread. How did he know that they were fearful?
Matthew 8:25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
So Fear, doubt and worry die unborn until they are spoken,
Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
How did Jesus know Peter doubted? His words gave him away.
Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Vs 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
So doubt and fear are in words.
If it is left to linger on on your thoughts, it would become your words.
Notice also that you cannot kill thoughts by thoughts. You neutralize or annul doubt by words.
Circumstances would communicate words to you, but you now need to hear yourself .
Matthew 14:31 ... O thou of little faith...
The words “little faith” describes something that was there but did not stay.
That is, you started off by faith but as time went on, you doubted and did not stay on in faith.
So it is possible to start out in faith and along the line veer off into doubt and fear.
Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. (Amplified Bible)
So the walk of faith has to be consistent,
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein...
The believer has to continue to look..
Continue to pay attention to the word, then you will be able to reproduce the same in your words.
Consistency in the faith walk, begins by constantly and consistently filling your mind with God’s word, who you are in Christ.
CONFESSION: I do not allow fear, worry and doubt in my words, I speak faith filled words all the time, I speak God’s word all the time, I speak loud and clear who I am in Christ.
