ICDFA Extends Virtual Lab Access to FULafia Faculty of Computing Through NASITDEA

The International Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Academy (ICDFA) is pleased to announce the extension of access to its ICDFA Virtual Lab in support of the Faculty of Computing, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), through the Nasarawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NASITDEA).

This technical support initiative complements the recently announced NASITDEA–FULafia Memorandum of Understanding, which seeks to advance cybersecurity, digital skills development, research, innovation, and technology-driven entrepreneurship across Nasarawa State.

The ICDFA Virtual Lab is a controlled, hands-on digital environment designed to support practical cybersecurity learning, simulations, cyber defence exercises, digital forensics practice, and structured technical research. Through this extension, eligible students, researchers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts within the Faculty of Computing will gain practical exposure alongside academic learning.

Through NASITDEA’s coordination, ICDFA will provide virtual-lab-enabled learning support and technical expertise to strengthen practical cybersecurity capacity within the Faculty’s teaching, research, and innovation ecosystem.

Speaking on the initiative, Aminu Idris, AMCPN, Founder and Chief Executive Director of ICDFA, stated:

“ICDFA is proud to extend its Virtual Lab capability to support the Faculty of Computing, FULafia, through NASITDEA. Our shared objective is to ensure that learners and researchers can move beyond theory and develop practical, responsible, and industry-relevant cybersecurity skills in a secure environment.”

The initiative reinforces ICDFA’s commitment to supporting institutions, government agencies, and young professionals with practical digital-security infrastructure that strengthens the digital economy of Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.

All Virtual Lab activities will operate under ICDFA’s academic, technical, safety, and access-governance requirements.

The International Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Academy (ICDFA) is pleased to announce the official establishment of the ICDFA Cameroon Chapter.

Mr. Niba Godfaith Cedric Fuh has been formally recognised as the Country Chapter Coordinator for Cameroon, supported by eight pioneer members who will help drive the Chapter’s activities and development.

The establishment of the Cameroon Chapter represents another significant milestone in ICDFA’s commitment to expanding access to cybersecurity and digital forensics education, professional development, research, collaboration and community impact across Africa.

The International Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Academy (ICDFA) is pleased to invite applications from qualified and motivated individuals for our Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) R82 Training Programme.

This programme is open to the general public and is designed for individuals seeking practical, industry-aligned skills in the administration and security of Check Point Quantum Security environments.

Participants will gain hands-on exposure to areas including:

Gaia Portal and Command Line Interface
Security policy configuration and administration
Network objects and administrator management
Identity Awareness
HTTPS Inspection
Application Control and URL Filtering
Security monitoring and system administration
Practical management of Check Point security environments

The programme is aligned with the Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification pathway and the 156-215.82 certification examination. Check Point identifies security administrators, engineers, analysts, consultants and architects among the intended audience for the course.

Applicants selecting physical attendance in Lafia should ensure that they can make suitable accommodation arrangements for the entire training period where accommodation is required.
