*Education Director Conveys Olayiwola’s Commendation as Novelty International Academy Pupils Stage One-of-Its-Kind Community Service at Irepo LG Secretariat*
Earlier today, the management, staff, and pupils of Novelty International Academy, Kishi embarked on a community service exercise at the Irepo Local Government Secretariat as part of their contribution towards promoting a clean and healthy environment.
During the exercise, the male pupils cleared grasses around the premises, while the female pupils swept and packed refuse within the Secretariat environment. The exercise also extended to the surroundings of Irepo Radio, Kishi.
Speaking during the exercise, the Principal of Novelty International Academy, Mrs. Olaosebikan O.O., stated that education does not end within the four walls of the classroom, stressing the need to instill moral values and environmental cleanliness in pupils. She explained that the school considered it necessary to give back to the community through the sanitation exercise.
Also speaking, Mrs. Alao Abigael, an Environmental Health Officer of Irepo Local Government, enlightened members of the public on the importance of maintaining a clean environment for a healthier community.
In her remarks, the Director of Education, Mrs. Olatunbosun, appreciated the school management, staff, and pupils for the commendable and one-of-its-kind initiative on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Alhaji (Hon.) Olayiwola Tunde Taoheed.
According to her, the Chairman described the initiative as a worthy example of responsible leadership and community development, adding that environmental cleanliness remains a collective responsibility that must be embraced by all for a healthier and safer society.
