NSUK Alumni Association to Hold 2026 Global Delegates Conference in Keffi
The Nasarawa State University Alumni Association Worldwide under the able leadership of the Global President Barr. Nuhu J Egya has announced its 2026 Delegates Conference and General Assembly, scheduled to hold on June 19 and 20 at the main campus of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
In a statement signed by National Public Relations Officer, God’spower Ede, the association said the event will bring together Board of Trustees, Congress members, and registered alumni chapters from across the globe under the theme: “Legacy to Leadership: Empowering the Next Generation of NSUK.”
The statement noted that, the conference opens on Friday, June 19, 2026, with delegates’ arrival and visitation to key dignitaries, including His Royal Highness Alh. Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, Emir of Keffi and Pro-Chancellor of NSUK; Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman; and Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, Visitor to NSUK.
Accordingly, Saturday, June 20, 2026, will feature delegates’ registration and the General Assembly, followed in the evening by an Alumni Barbecue and Gala Night.
All activities will take place at the Abdullahi Adamu Alumni Secretariat, NSUK Keffi.
The association said the gathering will review the state of the association, adopt a 2026–2028 strategic plan and constitute committees, launch the NSUK Alumni Endowment Fund, strengthen partnerships with the university and Nasarawa State Government, and foster unity among alumni chapters worldwide.
Consequently, all registered alumni are welcome as observers. Delegates must be fully registered before the General Assembly on June 20. Chapter chairmen are to submit the names of their chapter delegates to the National Secretariat not later than June 15, 2026. Only registered chapters that have complied with the Alumni Constitution will be admitted, and members must have up-to-date annual dues to qualify for participation.

VC Visits Dr. Gbenga Hashim, Secures Commitment for Multi-Million Naira Research Complex
In a major strategic move to accelerate infrastructural and academic expansion, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, paid a high-profile courtesy visit to renowned business mogul and statesman, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim.
The high-level meeting, which took place on Thursday, 4th June 2026, at his Abuja office solidified a massive partnership that will see the direct transformation of the university's research architecture.
During the visit, Professor Liman expressed the profound gratitude of the University Senate and Management to Dr. Hashim for his extraordinary financial benevolence.
Specifically, the Vice-Chancellor lauded his major donation toward the NSUK Research Complex Building Project, which is officially scheduled to break ground and commence construction in July 2026. NSUK VC Pays Thank You Visit to Minister of Women Affairs, Seeks Strategic Collaboration
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, on Thursday 4th June 2026, paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, at the Ministry's headquarters in Abuja.
The visit formed part of efforts to consolidate on the successes recorded during the University's recently concluded 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony and Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) celebrations.
Speaking during the visit, Professor Liman expressed profound appreciation to the Minister for her support to the University, particularly for personally attending the convocation ceremony and endowing an e-library complex for the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor noted that the e-library project would significantly enhance teaching, learning, research, and academic development at the University. She also acknowledged the Minister's numerous interventions and contributions to the growth and development of NSUK over the years.
Professor Liman further sought strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Women Affairs and the University, proposing the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) involving NSUK Consult and the University's Centre for Gender Studies. According to her, the partnership would enable the University to provide consultancy services, capacity-building programmes, and specialized short courses for the Ministry, leveraging the institution's wealth of expertise and human resources.
Responding, the Honourable Minister congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on the successful conduct of the University's convocation ceremony and commended her outstanding leadership and achievements.
Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim expressed pride in being associated with the e-library project, reaffirming her commitment to its successful ex*****on. She assured the University that work on the project would commence within the shortest possible time.
The Minister also disclosed that the Ministry is currently undertaking a comprehensive policy review process and has included NSUK among the institutions participating in the review team. She further revealed plans to expand collaboration with the University's Centre for Gender Studies, noting that the mandates of both the Ministry and the Centre are closely aligned in promoting gender equity, women empowerment, and social development.
The visit culminated in the presentation of souvenirs to the Honourable Minister by Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman and the Director of the Centre for Gender Studies, Dr. Comfort Adokwe-Obed, symbolizing the strong partnership and mutual commitment to advancing education, gender advocacy, and national development.
The engagement underscores NSUK's continued efforts to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders and government institutions in pursuit of academic excellence, research advancement, and impactful community service.

Sallah Homage: VC’s Office Staff, Felicitate with Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman
In the warm spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the staff of the Vice-Chancellor’s office, on Thursday, 28th May 2026, paid a traditional Sallah homage to the first family of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).
The festive visit was organized to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, and to utilize the solemn period to seek Almighty Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, and protection for the leadership and sustained success of the University.
The Vice-Chancellor’s residence witnessed a robust gathering of student leaders and senior academic staff who also arrived to extend their goodwill messages to the Vice-Chancellor.
The delegation included the Executive Committee of the Postgraduate Students Association (POSA) led by its Pioneer President, Dr. Abimiku Monday, Dr. Muhammad Bawa, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, and Dr. Nasiru Liman, Deputy Director, Center for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Studies (CDMRRS).
During the interactions, the visitors expressed absolute solidarity with the Vice-Chancellor's administrative vision, offering prayers for peace within the university community, academic stability, and the fortitude for the management to pilot NSUK to greater global heights.
The Vice-Chancellor, in her response, expressed profound gratitude to the staff and the delegations for their loyalty, dedication, and show of love. She urged the entire university community to absorb the core lessons of Eid-ul-Adha - sacrifice, obedience, and inclusivity in their daily service to the institution.
Giving a vote of thanks on behalf of the first family, the husband of the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Liman, MON, SAN (Wakilin Lafia Bare Bari), warmly thanked the delegation for the thoughtful visit.
