CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF YUSUF USMAN
(Department of Community Health, 300 Level)

The Management, Staff, and Students of Liyu College of Health Science and Technology, Keffi, received with deep sorrow the sad news of the passing of our beloved student, Yusuf Usman, of the Department of Community Health, 300 Level, who departed this life after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Yusuf was a dedicated, disciplined, and courageous student whose perseverance in the face of illness remained a source of inspiration to his colleagues and the entire academic community.

Despite the challenges of his health condition, he demonstrated remarkable strength, commitment to his studies, and a positive attitude that endeared him to many.

His demise is a great loss not only to his immediate family but also to his department, course mates, lecturers, and the entire Liyu College community.

We have lost a promising young professional who had the potential to contribute meaningfully to the health sector and the development of our society.

On behalf of the Management, Staff, and Students of Liyu College of Health Science and Technology, Keffi, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Yusuf Usman, the Department of Community Health, his course mates, and all who were touched by his life.

We pray that Almighty God grants his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and grants the departed soul eternal rest.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

THE 2ND MATRICULATION CEREMONY OF LIYU, COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KEFFI

The College was founded in December 2023, by Alh Aliyu Musa Abdullahi (Dangoten Keffi) to supplement the Government's effort towards improving health Challenges, not only in Keffi or Nasarawa State, but nation at large

The College has witnessed the 2nd Matriculation Ceremony of her students, which was done
at her permanent site, on Wednesday November 5th, 2025 along Keffi - Nasarawa road bye-pass, opposite General Hospital Keffi.

The Matriculation was for the (250) students, who are under-going different science courses, such as :-
(1) Public Health
(2) Environmental Health
Technician
(3) Medical Laboratory
Technician
(4) Pharmacy Technician
(5) Community Health
(6) Health Information
Management


The Distinguished Senator, Ahmad Aliyu Wadada (Sarkin Yakin Keffi) Magajin Dangin Lafia Bare-bari, was invited to serve as the Special Guest of honor at the occasion.

The Senator, was unavoidable absent at the occasion for official Assignments at Bauchi State, but he asked his Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Tanimu Danladi Keffi to represent him at the occasion.

After the opening prayer, the Chairman of the occasion, Prof Akaro Mainoma in his welcome speech, adviced the students, particularly the newly admitted students to be very serious with their studies and never allow the College to run after them. They should be law-abiding students and disciplined

The guest speaker, Prof M.D.Makut, in speech, adviced the students to know that, the pursuit of knowledge in health science is a noble endeavor that can equip them with the skills to a meaningful impact in their lives and the lives of others. He also applauded the staff and management, for their dedication and hard work in shaping the minds of our future health care professionals

While the College Provost, Dr Isma'il Suleiman Bala, in his speech, has enumerated the importance of Health Education to humanity, mission and expectations on the students

In his good will message, the Distinguished Senator, congratulated the Matriculating Students for being admitted into the College to read Health Education and other Science courses to meet up the national demands on health challenges.

The Distinguished Senator, has also praised the wisdom of Alh Aliyu Musa Abdullahi (Dangoten Keffi) for investing heavily on Education, particularly this College of Health Science and Technology, that is aimed at lives saving.

The Registrar of the College Mal Shuaibu Salisu Gyatte, administered the Matriculation oath, to newly admitted students,. department by department. After administering the oath, the Register invited the College Provost, Dr Isma'il Suleiman Bala to come again and declare the Ceremony closed, before the closing prayers

The Ceremony, has witnessed the presence of many Dignities, such as Health professionals Academicians Politicians, Parents and Students, within and outside the College.

The Ceremony was colorful and peaceful. Food and drinks were served to all invited guests as well as take-home gift to the Special Guests
