ENGINE FAULTS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS

Fault: Battery Not Charging or Poor Charge.
Cause:
1. Electrical wiring
2. Alternator drive belt loose.
Solution: before charging your battery you would check the alternator belt and electrical wiring, because if the problem is still there the battery would discharge soon.

Fault: Coolant Temperature Very High.
Causes:
1. Defective thermostat
2. Coolant level low
3. Air in the coolant system
4. Faulty pump
Solution: clean the air filter and water pump, check the thermostat and coolant level

Fault: Coolant Temperature Very Low.
Cause:
1. Defective thermostat
Solution: repair the thermostat or replace it

Fault: Engine Fires but Fails to Pick Up Speed.
Causes:
1. Air supply to engine is wrong
2. Air in the fuel system
3. Faulty pump
4. Injector fault
5. Fuel filters block condition.
Solution: clean the injector, air filter and water pump or replace.

Fault: Engine Not Get Correct Speed.
Causes:
1. Water particle in fuel
2. Air supply to engine is wrong
3. Air in the fuel system
4. Air cooler charge problem
5. Injector fault
6. Fuel filters block condition.
7. Exhaust pipe way choke
Solution: clean the fuel tank, clean the injector outlet, clean the air filter and water pump or replace. Then clear the exhaust pipe.

Fault: Engine Not Run.
Causes:
1. Electrical wiring
2. Battery discharged condition
3. Faulty starter motor or solenoid
4. Starter pinion not engage on fly wheel
Solution: check the alternator belt and electrical wiring check the motor starter and solenoid repair or replace them.

Fault: Engine Not Stop.
Causes:
Electrical wiring
1. Ignition failure
Solution: check the ignition or replace and electrical wiring

Fault: Engine Run Roughly.
Causes:
1. Water particle in fuel
2. Air in the fuel system
Solution: clean the air filter and fuel tank

Fault: Engine Starts but Suddenly Stops.
Causes:
1. No fuel
2. Fuel filters block condition.
Solution: check the fuel and fuel valve, clean the air filter too.

Fault: Engine Will Not Fire.
Causes:
1. Water particle in fuel
2. Air in the fuel system
3. Faulty pump.
4. No fuel.
5. Injector fault.
6. Fuel filters block condition.
7. Fuel pump timing out
Solution:clean the fuel tank,clean the air filter,check the water pump and the injector nozzles

Fault: Exhaust Black Smoke.
Causes: Air supply to engine is wrong
1. Injector fault
Solution: clean the air filter and the injector nozzles.

Fault: High Fuel Consumption.
Causes: Coolant temperature low
1. Air supply to engine is wrong
2. Injector fault
3. Exhaust pipe way choke
Solution:check the water pump,clean the air filter,clean the injector or carburetor nozzles and clear the exhaust blockage.

Fault: Machine Becomes Overheated.
Causes:
1. Air cooler charge problem
2. Machine overloaded
3. Short between winding or winding to frame.
Solution:clean the air filter,check the amateur coil winding ,then reduce the electrical load.

Fault: Starter Motor Not Rotate.
Causes:
1. Electrical wiring
2. Battery discharged condition
3. Main switch off
4. Ignition failure
5. Water in engine
6. Faulty starter motor or solenoid.
Solution:check the battery voltage,check the ignition starter,check water pump,check the electrical wiring and check the main switch position make sure is on position.

Fault: Starter Motor Rotate but Engine Not Starts.
Causes:
1. Water particle in fuel
2. Air in the fuel system
3. No fuel
4. Fuel filters block condition.
Solution:clean the fuel tank and fuel valve,clean the fuel filter,fil the fuel tank

Fault: Starter Motor Running Slow.
Causes: Electrical wiring
1. Battery discharged condition
Solution:check the battery voltage and electrical wiring

Fault: White or Blue Exhaust Smoke.
Causes:
1. Coolant temperature low
2. Oil level high
Solution: clean the water pump,check the oil level make sure is normal.
