*CBR-CDA Partnership Takes Shape*

In a landmark meeting today (20/8/24), the Center for Biotechnology Research (CBR) led by our Director, engaged in a productive discussion with the management team of the Centre For Dryland Agriculture (CDA) Bayero University Kano . The two centers explored avenues for collaboration and mutual support to tackle and address pressing societal challenges/problems.

*Fostering a Fruitful Partnership*

Today's meeting culminated in the inauguration of a small joint taskforce committee, mandated to: Identify key areas of collaboration, develop a comprehensive plan for joint initiatives and Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and expertise exchange.

Yesterday's Center for Biotechnology Research, Bayero University Kano meeting with the Vice Chancellor Bayero University Kano, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas and other Principal officers of the University (including the DVC(s), the Registrar, the Bursar and other important diginatories)

During the meeting, our Director Prof. Anas Yahaya briefed the Vice Chancellor and his team on the state of the Center, challenges and successes achieved so far.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas and other Principal officers present at the meeting were happy with the achievement recorded by the center and they pledged their full support and commitment for the Center's development through providing necessary resources, expertise, connections and guidance to drive success and excellence in research.

We are really grateful to the Vice Chancellor, other Principal officers and entire staff of the University for their full and continuous support toward the development of the center.

We are honored with this esteemed visit (today 23/7/24) by Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, former Vice Chancellor Bayero University Kano and former Executive Secretary NUC, together with Professor Hafiz Abubakar, former Deputy Governor Kano State and the Pioneer Director of Center for Biotechnology Research, Bayero University Kano.

Several issues centered around moving the center forward and making it a spotlight for cutting edge research and training in Africa & beyond were discussed.

We thank the professors for taking their time to visit the center and discussed important issues with us.
