THE PROPORTION OF RAIN
One of the items of information given
in the Quran about rain is that it is
sent down to Earth in due measure.
This is mentioned in Surah Zukhruf as
follows;
"It is He who sends down water in
due measure from the sky by which
We bring a dead land back to life. That
is how you too will be raised (from
the dead)." (The Quran, 43:11)
This measured quantity in rain has
again been discovered by modern
research. It is estimated that in one
second, approximately 16 million tons
of water evaporates from the Earth.
This figure amounts to 513 trillion
tons of water in one year. This
number is equal to the amount of rain
that falls on the Earth in a year. This
means that water continuously
circulates in a balanced cycle, in a
"measure". Life on Earth depends on
this water cycle. Even if people used
all the available technology in the
world, they would not be able to
reproduce this cycle artificially.
Even a minor deviation in this
equilibrium would very soon give rise
to a major ecological imbalance that
would bring about the end of life on
Earth. Yet, this never happens, and
rain keeps falling every year in exactly
the same quantity just as revealed in
the Quran.
Every year, the amount of water that
evaporates and that falls back to the
Earth in the form of rain is "constant":
513 trillion tons. This constant amount
is declared in the Quran by the
expression "sending down water in
due measure from the sky". The
constancy of this quantity is very
important for the continuity of the
ecological balance, and therefore, life.

1. TCP : Transmission Control protocol which helps the computer connected to internet with Other computers.
2. WEBSITE : This is a collection of related web pages, images, codes or digital assets that are hosted on one web serve Usually accessible through the internet.

3.WEB PAGE : This is a document typically written in html, that is almost always accessible through http.
4. WAP : Wireless Access protocol.
5. WWW : Worldwide web, which is medium that allows people to get information that is available on the internet. Examples are ;
www.yahoo.com, and www.google.com
6. INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) :
This is a protocol used for communicating data across a pocket-swith on the internet.

An Important Letter

What happens when you receive an
important letter from someone, do
you put it away or immediately open
it and read it? I believe, all of us would
open the letter and read it. If you
don't know how to read, you would
find someone who could and let him
read it out to you. In short, we would
take the letter seriously as it contains
important information.
On the other hand, how do we treat
the Holy Quran, which is an important
message from Allah? Our future of
this world and the hereafter is in
knowing this message. But, do we
read the Quran? May be only a few of
us. Instead of reading, we cover the
Quran with a beautiful cloth and put it
away on a high shelf. Would we do
the same with the above mentioned
important letter? Not at all. So, it's
time that we realize the value of the
Quran and read it often to know its
important message.

Join war against
terrorism, Buhari writes

Former Military Head of
State and a leader of the
All Progressives Congress,
Maj-Gen. Muhammadu
Buhari(retd.), on Monday
asked the new Emir of
Kano, Mallam Lamido
Sanusi, to support the
Federal Government’s war
against terrorism in the
country.
Buhari, in a
congratulatory letter he
personally signed and a
copy made available to
newsmen in Kaduna,
urged the new emir to
bring to bear his wealth of
experience in assisting the
economic revival of the
state and the country in
general.
The former military
leader, who was also a
presidential candidate of
the defunct Congress of
Progressive Change in the
2011 presidential election,
reminded the former CBN
boss to fear God in
treating the people of
Kano with justice and
fairness as his choice as
the emir was purely an act
of God.
Buhari said, “You (Emir)
should cultivate all and
exclude none.
“After attending the burial
of the late emir, Alhaji Ado
Bayero, I am renewing my
condolences to the new
emir, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido
Sanusi, and the people of
Kano and the country on
the death of Alhaji Ado
Bayero.
“I am forwarding my
congratulations to you for
assuming the office of
emir of this historic land,
a position once occupied
by great historical figures
such as Muhammadu
Rumfa, Ibrahim Dabo,
Abdullahi Bayero and
Muhammadu Sanusi.
“I hope you will be worthy
successor to those great
men.”
